Sure Could Use Some Christmas Around Here Lyrics

Half a dozen wars are raging
Brother against brother
Families torn apart, little children starved
It's for everyone of them I'm praying

Christmas, oh Christmas
Why won't you come early this year?
The world's gone crazy
Looks like love has almost disappeared
We sure could use some Christmas 'round here

No one here's listening to each other
I guess we are all too busy talking
If we wanna find real peace, let's start with you and me
Lay down our arms and forgive one another

Christmas, oh Christmas
Why won't you come early this year?
The world's gone crazy
Looks like love has almost disappeared
We sure could use some Christmas 'round here

Well, it all starts with what we teach our children
First of all, not to hate
Don't be so quick to judge or hold a grudge
And let love be the present every day

Christmas, oh Christmas
Why won't you come early this year?
The world's gone crazy
Looks like love has almost disappeared
Maybe I could make a difference this year
We sure could use some Christmas 'round here

Merry Christmas y'all
