This Day (Live VH1 Honors - June 22, 1995) Lyrics

Give us this day
Our daily bread
You said you would
Supply all my needs
According to your riches
I have but to ask
And I shall receive

To go from here
And share this love
You gave to me
To show someone who is lost
And help them find their way
See the way to truth and faith
So they can be free (Free)

Be free like me, yeah, oh, oh
(Be free) Be free like, like, like me

Oh lord, we need your love yeahh
Oh lord, we need your peace
Oh lord, we need your joy
(Joy) This, oh, this, oh, this, oh, lord
Sometimes the church get up in me I can't help myself you know

On this day, this day, this day
Thank you, lord
I thank you for this day
