The Best One Yet Partners With Nasdaq on "The TBOY 10" Rankings and "The IPO Show"

The daily pop-business podcast is teaming up with the stock exchange on two new franchises — a weekly power ranking of the ten companies shaping the business world, and an interview series filmed inside Nasdaq's Times Square MarketSite studio.

The pop-business podcast your group chat quotes every morning is moving into Wall Street's house. The Best One Yet — the daily business-news show hosted by Jack Crivici-Kramer and Nick Martell, with more than 150 million lifetime downloads — announced on Wednesday that it is launching two new franchises in partnership with Nasdaq: "The TBOY 10," a weekly power ranking of the ten companies shaping the business world, cultural trends, and society; and "The IPO Show," an exclusive interview series produced at the Nasdaq MarketSite studio in Times Square.

The TBOY 10 is the ranking play. According to the joint announcement from TBOY and Nasdaq, distributed Wednesday via Business Wire, the weekly ranking will be informed by Nasdaq's trending tickers — the Nasdaq-listed companies with the largest recent increases in trading activity — alongside other qualitative and quantitative data. It will be distributed across the podcast itself and the show's YouTube and social media channels, a deliberate multi-platform push in a year when TBOY has been expanding aggressively into video.

The IPO Show is the access play. The series will be produced at Nasdaq's MarketSite studio in Times Square and will feature interviews with the CEOs and founders of the most innovative public and private companies, plus behind-the-scenes access to companies on their IPO day. If the TBOY 10 is about what the market is talking about, The IPO Show is about getting inside the room where the market's next stories are born.

One line in the announcement is doing more work than the rest: TBOY will retain full editorial independence across all content produced under the partnership. That clause is the whole ballgame. TBOY's audience — the self-described Yetis and Besties — trusts the show because it reads as two funny friends explaining business news, not as an institution's mouthpiece. A power ranking that even smelled like pay-to-play would be dead on arrival. TBOY and Nasdaq said in the release that the partnership pairs "TBOY's creator-led voice with direct access to the companies shaping public and private markets" — access, pointedly, not influence.

The deal is the latest step in a remarkable two-year run for the show. TBOY — formerly known as Robinhood Snacks — has operated as an independent company since 2022. In February, it signed a multi-year exclusive partnership with Acast for global distribution and ad sales across both its audio podcast and its video simulcast, and appointed Mike Muney, a veteran of Spotify, Yahoo, and Moment, as its first general manager. Its 2026 live tour, cheekily dubbed the "IPO Tour (In-Person Offering)," expanded to seven U.S. cities with the Austin and Los Angeles dates selling out. The show has also launched a second weekly program, The Best Idea Yet, with Wondery. For the full picture of how fast this business is moving, see Previously's podcasts hub and this week's launch of the DSP Podcasts network.

The timing is no accident, either. TBOY's audience skews young and financially curious — exactly the demographic every brokerage, exchange, and fintech is desperate to reach, and exactly the demographic least likely to sit through an hour of cable business news. The show's whole trick is translation: IPOs, earnings, and macro news rendered in the language of group chats and memes. Nasdaq isn't just buying reach here; it's buying fluency.

For Nasdaq, the stated logic is straightforward. TBOY and Nasdaq said in the joint announcement that the franchises will reach investors "in the formats and on the platforms where they increasingly get their news," according to the release — an acknowledgment that the front page of business news is no longer a cable chyron or a newspaper; it's a podcast feed and a YouTube thumbnail. For Nasdaq-listed companies, the partnership creates a new way to reach a fast-growing, creator-led audience, complementing the visibility the exchange's platform already gives its clients.

Zoom out and this is a landmark for creator-led financial media. Business news has been migrating from institutions to personalities for a decade — from cable anchors to newsletter writers to podcast hosts — and the institutions have noticed. An exchange operator co-producing content with a podcast would have been unthinkable five years ago; now it's a press release. The economics help explain why: industry trackers have pegged podcast advertising growth at more than 30 percent year over year, and the medium's video infrastructure is finally catching up, with Apple rolling out HLS video podcast support this year.

What to watch: the announcement didn't specify premiere dates for either franchise, so the first question is when "The TBOY 10" and "The IPO Show" actually debut — and what the first ranking looks like. The second is whether the format travels: weekly power rankings are catnip for social feeds, and a well-executed TBOY 10 could become the kind of appointment content that defines the show's next chapter. And the third is who follows. When Nasdaq starts co-producing podcasts, the rest of the Street's move can't be far behind.
