Def Leppard Announce 45-Date 2027 Arena Tour With Goo Goo Dolls and The Struts

The Rock & Roll Hall of Famers open March 2 in Allentown and wrap July 2 in Indianapolis — with a dollar from every ticket going to City of Hope.

Def Leppard are going back out on the road, and they’re doing it the only way they know how: big. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame band announced Thursday a 45-date North American arena tour for 2027, with the Goo Goo Dolls riding shotgun for the entire run and The Struts as special guests, Parade reported, with Blabbermouth confirming the full routing. “2027 just keeps getting better!” the band wrote on Instagram — and for anyone who grew up on “Pour Some Sugar on Me,” it just did.

The numbers are the story here. The trek opens Tuesday, March 2, at the PPL Center in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and runs four months to a Friday, July 2, finale at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, according to Parade. In between, the “Photograph” hitmakers go coast to coast and up into Canada: Boston, Nashville, Chicago, Denver, Houston, St. Louis, Atlanta and Philadelphia are all on the map, with five Canadian stops — Montreal, Toronto, Quebec City, Vancouver and Edmonton — and smaller-market dates in Wichita, Lincoln, Spokane and Savannah for the fans who never get the big rooms.

The marquee nights will move fast. Def Leppard play Madison Square Garden on June 23, the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on May 1, Chase Center in San Francisco on May 5, and Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle on May 9. Tickets for the whole run go on sale October 16, Blabbermouth reported. One detail worth pausing on: $1 from every ticket sold goes to City of Hope, the cancer research and treatment organization — a quiet, meaningful line in a tour announcement that could have coasted on nostalgia alone.

The guests are doing a lot of the heavy lifting here, and that’s a compliment. The Goo Goo Dolls aren’t an opening act in the charity sense — they’re a four-time Grammy-nominated band with 15 million records sold and “Iris,” the diamond-certified ballad that has now passed six billion global streams, more than a billion of those arriving in 2025 alone, Blabbermouth noted. They hold the all-time radio record for most Top 10 singles — 15 No. 1s and Top 10s — and spent the summer on the road with stops at the iHeartRadio Festival and Sea.Hear.Now. That’s a co-headliner’s résumé wearing a support slot’s humility.

And then there’s The Struts, the British glam revivalists fronted by Luke Spiller, in the special-guest slot. It’s a pairing that makes sense on every level — the eyeliner, the platform boots, the sing-along choruses, the unapologetic joy of it all. If Def Leppard are the architects of the arena rock sing-along, The Struts are the ones who grew up in the blueprint. Three generations of rock on one bill, one ticket.

The announcement caps a year that has already been enormous for the Sheffield band. Earlier in 2026, Def Leppard completed their third sold-out residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas — and instead of easing off the gas, they followed it with sold-out shows across Europe, South America and Mexico, Blabbermouth reported. Their “Greatest Hits” compilation entered four U.K. charts this summer, two of them debuting in the Top 10. Eleven million monthly Spotify listeners. More than 110 million albums sold worldwide. The machine is not winding down; if anything, it’s speeding up.

That Vegas chapter matters, because it explains the confidence of this announcement. Three residencies at Caesars is rarefied air — the kind of run that turns a touring band into an institution. Metallica’s Sphere residency proved the Strip still moves the needle for legacy rock; Def Leppard’s answer is to take the whole operation back on the road, 45 arenas deep, and let the rest of the country have the version Vegas got.

The timing also says something about rock in 2027. Aerosmith’s guest-packed Hollywood Bowl return lands later this month, and the arena calendar is filling up with legacy acts that refuse to behave like legacy acts. Def Leppard’s play is the package — three bands, one ticket, 45 nights, “non-stop hits” as the band promises — and it’s the smartest bet in live rock right now. The single-band nostalgia tour is a museum piece. This is a festival that fits in an arena.

So mark October 16. Forty-five dates, three bands, and a dollar a ticket to a good cause — the rare tour announcement that gives you something to feel good about before you’ve even bought in.
