DWCS 95 Card Preview: Five Bouts, Ten Prospects, One Final Contract Rush at the Meta APEX

Tuesday's five APEX bouts aren't a UFC Fight Night — they're DWCS 95, Season 10 Week 9 of Dana White's Contender Series. Ten fighters, five contracts on the table, one night on Paramount+ (7 PM ET / 4 PM PT). The full bout-by-bout breakdown.

LAS VEGAS — First, the correction, because it matters: Tuesday night at the Meta APEX is not a UFC Fight Night. The five bouts on the ESPN schedule — all listed for 7 PM ET — are Dana White's Contender Series Season 10, Week 9 (DWCS 95), and that distinction changes everything about how to watch them. These aren't ranked fighters jockeying for position. They're ten prospects fighting for their professional lives, with UFC contracts awarded after the final bell by Dana White himself. All ten made weight Monday at the UFC host hotel — Alivia Bierley (135.5) vs. Summer Onley (136) headlines — and the faceoffs are in the books. Here's the card, top to bottom.

MAIN EVENT: BIERLEY VS. ONLEY — Women's bantamweight, and it's the purest style clash on the card. Summer Onley, 32, is a 6-0 undefeated out of Ronin MMA in Birmingham, UK, with five knockouts — a late starter who only found MMA through her fiancé in 2016 and built her base into a European BJJ championship pedigree before developing what the UFC's own preview calls a devastating one-punch knockout. Across from her: Alivia "Yum Yum" Bierley, 30, 5-1 with three knockouts, fighting out of Pete Spratt Hybrid Systems in Texas. Bierley was a VP at LA Fitness who walked away from the corporate ladder to fight full-time — and won a championship two weeks later. A lifelong athlete with college basketball and gymnastics in her background, she's described as one of the physically strongest competitors in the division, fighting with what she calls calculated chaos. The tactical read: Onley's path is the early highlight-reel finish; Bierley's is dragging the Brit into deep, ugly water where strength and grit compound. Somebody's zero — or near-zero — goes.

CO-MAIN: EVERETT VS. MARTIN — Welterweight, undefeated vs. undefeated, and the best story on the card. Salhahuddin "Bundy" Everett, 29, is a Las Vegas native, 4-0, and none of his professional bouts has lasted longer than three minutes. The freestyle fighter came up through boxing into Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with an explosive, finishing-heavy style. His day job used to be the UFC mailroom and corporate security — then he became Dana White's runner, and one day, while stocking the fridge, White casually told him he was getting his Contender Series shot. A win Tuesday makes him the first person to go from working for the UFC to fighting in it. Standing across: Ozzy "Toro" Martin, 24, 4-0 in MMA with four knockouts — and unbeaten as a professional boxer and kickboxer too. Raised by professional kickboxers, he inherited the "Toro" nickname from his father and brings lightning-fast, devastating power. His wrinkle: he insists his grappling is overlooked and plans to surprise Everett with it. Both men weighed 170 on the button. This one smells like a finish either way.

CONCEIÇÃO VS. CHÁVEZ — Flyweight, and the highest-stakes rematch of reputations on the card — because both men have been here before. Roque Conceição, 26, is an 11-3 Brazilian striker out of São Paulo's Revira Black Team and Cruel Top Team, back for his second Contender Series appearance after a loss in Season 9's Week 9. He weighed 124.5 and says he's returning with renewed maturity. Alexander "Panchita" Chávez, 25, is a Peruvian striker from Chorrillos, Lima, training out of PMAAC — introduced to martial arts at 13 by his older brother, developed into a versatile, high-output Muay Thai specialist, and also on his second DWCS appearance. Two flyweights who know exactly how thin the margin is, both convinced this time is different. Expect a high-output striking battle with zero feeling-out process.

MIYAGUCHI VS. SOARES — Bantamweight, Japan vs. Brazil, striker vs. striker. Ryuho Miyaguchi, 28, is a karate-based striker at 7-1 with six knockouts. His biggest stage — Road to UFC in Macau this past May — overwhelmed him; the occasion got to him and it ended in a submission loss he thought had killed his UFC dream. Then came the surprise call. Training out of MMA Dojo Cobra, he'll lean on a dangerous kicking arsenal, and the question is whether the big-stage nerves are managed this time. Mateus Soares, 22, is an 11-2 Brazilian out of Rio's Jacarezinho community, training at Rizzo RVT on a Muay Thai and karate foundation — and he fights like a man chasing his idol, Jose Aldo, openly predicting a knockout. Soares weighed 135 to Miyaguchi's 136. Somebody gets starched; the only question is whose chin writes the check.

LAGRANGE VS. ARIANO — Light heavyweight opens the show, and it's the card's great gamble. Preston LaGrange, 27, is a 6-1 middleweight out of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with a 100 percent finish rate — trained by Keoni Koch at the Hard Drive Performance Center, built on Iowa wrestling and football grit. For his DWCS debut he's stepping UP to 205 pounds on two weeks' notice against Nell Ariano, an undefeated 6-0 Parisian with four knockouts. Ariano is a judo black belt who spent nearly a decade on the French national team before moving to MMA during COVID — and his road here runs through a stroke he survived at 27, with his father now battling cancer. He weighed 205 to LaGrange's 199.5. Speed, cardio and wrestling against size, judo and a decade of elite grappling pedigree. The Iowa kid is betting his whole game travels up a weight class. That's the kind of bet the Contender Series was built for.

Five fights. Ten fighters. The season's finish line is two weeks out — Week 10 lands Oct. 13 — and the contract math is unforgiving: impress Dana White or go home. Meet the contract hunters, then watch them hunt Tuesday at 7 PM ET on Paramount+.
