The season trailer opens with a producer asking Kris Jenner how her daughters are getting along this season, and Jenner answers, “Uh, well, it’s been a week,” as TV Insider reported — and the most famous family in reality television is off and running again.
LOS ANGELES — The Kardashians returns for Season 8 on Thursday, October 8, 2026, premiering at 12:00 a.m. ET exclusively on Hulu, as Page Six reported. It has been just over a year since the last season premiered on the streamer, and the eighth installment of the Hulu-era series runs 10 episodes, with new installments arriving every Thursday through a December 10 finale. In the United States the show streams on Hulu and on Hulu through Disney+ for bundle subscribers, while international viewers watch on Disney+, per What’s On Disney Plus. The season is a streaming exclusive — no cable channel, no broadcast window.
That weekly cadence is a deliberate choice in an era when streamers keep flip-flopping between binge drops and week-to-week releases. For a reality show built on the internet reacting in real time, the Thursday drip makes obvious sense: each episode gets its own news cycle, its own TikTok discourse, its own wave of think pieces. Page Six listed the full schedule: the premiere, titled Slap the S*** Outta Her, arrives October 8, followed by Never Say Never, Right? on October 15, with episodes continuing weekly on October 22, October 29, November 5, November 12, November 19, November 26, December 3, and the finale on December 10.
Hulu’s framing of the season is notably softer than the drama-forward teases of past years. “A new chapter starts now” for the Kardashian-Jenner family, according to Hulu as reported by Page Six, and the streamer says the season “is all about love, reinvention, and what comes next,” with the family balancing empire-building with something far more personal — from unexpected sparks and new relationships to healing old wounds and embracing independence.

The core cast is the full family bench: Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian Barker, Khloé Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, and Kylie Jenner. As TV Insider noted, previews also show Scott Disick and Caitlyn Jenner popping up, along with Kourtney’s husband, Travis Barker. Behind the scenes, Fulwell 73 partner Ben Winston executive-produces alongside Danielle King, Emma Conway, Elizabeth Jones, and Erin Foye, with Kris, Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, Kendall, and Kylie all serving as executive producers too, per What’s On Disney Plus.
The trailer, released September 17, is where the season’s actual plotlines come into focus — and it does not waste time. The most discussed moment, as TV Insider reported, comes early: Kim tells her family she has been diagnosed with esophagitis, an inflammation of the esophagus. Shots in the preview show her in a hospital gown and being wheeled away for what appears to be a procedure. What the trailer shows is limited, and it is worth being precise about it: she names a condition. She does not describe its severity, its cause, a treatment plan, or an outcome, and Hulu’s promotional material does not either. Whether the season resolves the storyline, and how, is not established by a trailer.
Romance is the other big engine. Kim told the cameras, “I just can’t control myself,” as TV Insider reported, amid her relationship with Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton, which began at the end of 2025. Kendall, famously private, addressed rumors about her love life head-on. She said in a confessional, “There’s definitely a rumor that Cara [Delevingne] and I dated,” as TV Insider reported, and joked in another scene, “By the way, I have nothing against having sex with Cara. Never say never, right?” Khloé said she’s single and “might be ready to mingle,” noting that December marks four years since she’s had sex, per TV Insider’s trailer breakdown. The trailer’s final beat is pure Kardashian: Khloé asked Kris, “I wanted to know … would you have my baby? It would be surrogate,” as TV Insider reported, and Kris replied, “Have you lost your mind?”

The sister dynamics look like the season’s third rail. TV Insider reported real tension between Kourtney and her sisters: Simon Huck told Kourtney, “They think Travis is shielding you from the family, which is probably the biggest misread of the century,” in the trailer, as TV Insider reported. Kourtney said, “My biggest priority right now is my kids and I’m very happy with my life,” per TV Insider, while Kim said her sister “doesn’t know how to have friends, hang out with sisters, it’s sad.” The Kourtney-versus-the-sisters arc has powered some of the show’s best seasons, and Season 8 looks ready to revisit it with the added weight of Kourtney’s blended family with Barker now firmly established.
For viewers who need a subscription to keep up: Page Six reported that Hulu’s basic with-ads plan runs $11.99 a month, while ad-free Hulu costs $18.99 a month. The first seven seasons are already streaming on the platform for anyone who needs a refresher on the long road that led here — from the family’s E! era through the Hulu relaunch and into what the streamer is now calling a new chapter.

What Season 8 is really testing is whether the formula still has room to surprise. Eight seasons into the Hulu run and nearly two decades into the family’s reality-TV dominance, the audience knows every beat — the glam confessional, the sister fight, the tearful reconciliation over dinner. The trailer suggests the producers know that too: the season’s biggest swings are the unscripted-feeling ones, the health scare and the honest dating talk, not the set pieces. We’ll find out starting tonight whether the season’s promise — love, reinvention, and what comes next — is a real pivot or just a prettier way to sell the same delicious chaos.
