What Previously is

Previously is the entertainment home for people who follow everything: the movies everyone will be talking about Monday morning, the shows climbing the charts, the games the world is playing, the matchups that matter, and the podcasts worth your commute. One screen, updated through the day, built to answer the question you ask every night: what should I watch, listen to, or catch up on tonight?

It's two things at once. A news-led publication — real writers reporting and recommending in their own voices, with stories that have substance. And a living guide — charts computed from real audience data, a release calendar that actually stays current, team and player pages that track the season as it happens, and full-length free movies you can press play on right now.

No paywall in front of the charts. No account required to look around. Just the whole entertainment world, kept up to date — the way a good friend who watches everything would keep you up to date.

How it stays current

Most entertainment sites go stale the moment they're published. Previously is built not to. Every chart on the site is computed from live audience and cultural data — trending feeds, theatrical box office, streaming top 10s, music charts, concurrent player counts, podcast rankings — and refreshed through the day as new numbers arrive.

The podcast library pulls the newest episodes from every show's feed each morning, so the conversations are never last week's. Sports pages follow the season with real matchup data, live odds movement, and playoff implications. The Coming Soon calendar moves with the release schedule, not against it. And the newsroom publishes stories with real reporting behind them — never thin, never filler — with real photos and real links to the movies, teams, artists, and shows they cover, so every article is a doorway to keep exploring, not a dead end.

When something changes in the entertainment world, Previously changes with it. That's the whole design: a site that earns its bookmark by being right, and being current.

The sections

Seven sections, one roof. Each one is deep on its own — and they all talk to each other, so a story about a film leads you to its cast, its soundtrack, and the podcast episode breaking it down.

The newsroom

Our writers are the main event. They cover their beats in their own voices — Vivian's film grades, Cuz's verdicts, Ray's recommendations — with the kind of taste you only get from people who genuinely live in this stuff. Nobody here writes like a press release, and nobody phones it in.

Every story ships with substance. That means real reporting, not a rewritten headline; real HD photos, never AI illustrations; and real internal links to the movies, teams, artists, and shows we cover. The crime desk reports victim-first and fact-driven, with no motive speculation and no sensationalism. Headlines carry the facts — no clickbait games — so what you see is what the story delivers.

If you spot something we should cover — a film, a show, a local story with real legs — our writers read every tip. Tell us through the suggest page or [email protected].

Charts, not vibes

Every Top 10 on Previously is math, not mood. Rankings are calculated from real audience data — what's actually being watched, streamed, played, and talked about — blended across sources so a single spike on one platform can't hijack the list. No title can buy a rank. No advertiser can boost one. Affiliate relationships never touch the charts.

Our writers' picks are a separate thing entirely, and they're labeled as opinion — the charts are math, the picks are people, and you'll always know which you're looking at. The full methodology, sources and all, is published on our How We Rank page. We'd rather show our work than ask for your trust.

Creators come first

Everything on Previously points you to the real thing. Videos come from official embeds — the creators' own channels and licensed distributors who want their work watched. The free movies are full-length, legal, public-domain films. When we show you where to watch something, it's the services that officially carry it — we don't host copyrighted streams, and we don't send you to shady corners of the internet.

If we ever get it wrong, we fix it fast. Our copyright page explains exactly how rights holders reach us, in plain language. The people who make the work deserve that — it's the foundation the whole site stands on.

The story

Previously started the way the best things do — with a fan who was tired of the hunt. Tired of opening five apps to find one movie. Tired of hearing about a show three weeks after everyone else. Tired of "it's on some service, I forget which."

So we built the screen we wanted: one place that keeps up with everything, the way a good friend who watches everything would. Every chart, every release, every game — in one home, updated daily.

That fan-first instinct is still the product spec. If a feature doesn't make your night easier — finding the film, catching the game, discovering the next obsession — it doesn't ship. Pages made, links linking, everything loading, nothing broken. That's the bar, every day.

What's next

The library keeps growing, the charts keep refreshing, and the newsroom keeps publishing. Reader suggestions shape what we cover next — the site is built with its audience, not just for it. New sections arrive when they're ready, not before, and everything that ships has to clear the same bar: real data, real reporting, real photos, nothing broken.

The goal never changes: the most trusted screen in your entertainment life. Thanks for making Previously part of your night — now go find something great to watch.
