About ZeplaHQ

Zepla — ZeplaHQ to Twitch, Xepla to the timeline — is the bunny-eared conscience of the Final Fantasy XIV community. The Ukrainian creator has spent the better part of a decade as one of FFXIV's defining voices: a Twitch partner since 2016, a YouTuber with a "carrot patch" of guides, machinima, and comedy, and a streamer whose cozy, welcoming broadcasts made her one of the most trusted names in Eorzea. When Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022, she became something else too — a human face of the crisis for a global gaming community, speaking to her audience from Kyiv about what the war looked like from the inside.

The numbers describe a creator who earned her audience the slow way. Her Twitch channel, created in August 2016, has grown to roughly a quarter-million followers, consistently ranking among the top English-language FFXIV channels on the platform — number 12 for the game in recent 30-day tracking — with a typical month bringing nearly 200 hours live, around 480 average viewers, and peaks over 1,200. Her main YouTube channel, Zepla HQ, has passed 320,000 subscribers, with a second channel, ZepLIVE, adding tens of thousands more. This is not virality; it is compound interest on a decade of showing up.

Bunvenidos: the carrot patch

Zepla's brand is unmistakable: "Bunvenidos!" she greets her audience, and the bunny theme runs through everything — the carrot-patch content library, the "happy bunny dance," the Twitch bio that reads "Bun Enthusiast • Twitch Partner • MMO Content Creator." It would be easy to mistake the aesthetic for fluff. It is not. Beneath the ears is one of the sharpest FFXIV minds in content creation: a player with genuine endgame depth, a researcher who does all her own writing, recording, and editing, and a comedian with a gift for machinima.

Her early YouTube work set the template — guides and parodies produced with a craft the FFXIV scene rarely saw, including the beloved Kugane parody work that showed she could be funny and authoritative in the same video. She played the game at a high level, including Ultimate-tier content, and her content reflected it: this was a creator who had done the thing, not just watched the thing. In a community as knowledgeable as FFXIV's, that credibility is currency, and Zepla minted plenty of it.

The burnout and the pivot

The hardcore grind caught up with her. After years of producing research-heavy guides and pushing endgame content, Zepla burned out — stepped back, recalibrated, and returned with a different philosophy. The modern ZeplaHQ stream is cozy by design: "Cozy Chats, Pet Tax & EZ Roulettes," deep-dungeon runs, patch-story playthroughs, community nights. The deep game knowledge never left; it just stopped being the whole show. The personality — warm, funny, relentlessly encouraging — became the product, and the audience followed her there.

It was a brave pivot in a scene that rewards optimization content, and it worked because the trust was already banked. Her chat is famously one of the kinder rooms on Twitch, a "reliable source of entertainment" built on a simple contract: she shows up, she knows her stuff, and everybody behaves. A decade in, she is proof that you can survive the content treadmill by getting off it.

Kyiv, 2022

In late January 2022, with Russian troops massed on Ukraine's border, Zepla did something few gaming creators had done: she turned her stream into a window on a gathering crisis. Born in the United States but long based in Kyiv, she spoke to her audience about what the buildup looked like from the inside — the fear in the streets, the uncertainty, the possibility that she might one day need her community's help. "Now people everywhere where I live are scared," she told her viewers. Weeks later, the invasion began.

The moment landed far beyond FFXIV. Gaming press covered her streams as a dispatch from a war zone, and her community rallied — the same audience that had come for dungeon guides now showing up for something that mattered infinitely more. She later relocated to the United States as the war ground on, but the Kyiv streams remain a defining chapter: a reminder that the person behind the avatar has a life, a home, and stakes that no patch notes can capture.

Why she matters

Zepla matters because she built the thing every creator claims to want and almost nobody achieves: a community that is genuinely good. A quarter-million Twitch followers, hundreds of thousands of YouTube subscribers, a top-ranked FFXIV channel — and a chat that new viewers describe as welcoming, a creator who treats content as a craft rather than a content mill. She survived the hardcore era, the burnout, and a war, and came out the other side still streaming, still laughing, still handing out bunny blessings. In the MMO world, where communities curdle fast, ZeplaHQ is the proof that cozy scales. Creators in her lane — from Asmongold's MMO empire to the new wave of FFXIV streamers — operate in a scene she helped define.
