About this game

Birth Of X is an atmospheric psychological horror about the pain of loss. A mysterious box left at your doorstep sets off a chain of terrifying events. Solve symbolic puzzles and face what crawls behind you…

Birth Of X is a slow-burning psychological horror where grief and madness become one. Solve symbolic puzzles tied to fragments of the past—birth certificates, divorce papers, childhood belongings. Each object reveals a piece of a personal tragedy twisted into nightmare. But you're not alone. Something is here. It came from the box. It crawls through the house. It’s always behind you. And it won’t leave until you make a choice. Oppressive, suffocating atmosphere. You’re not only scared by what jumps out—but by what lingers in the silence. Use documents and personal belongings to solve narrative-driven puzzles rooted in grief, memory, and identity. A creature that’s always near—just like your guilt. You feel it, even when you try to pretend the pain isn’t there.
