Wind Up Deadman is a retro-futuristic CRPG about manipulated memories and buried truths. After the Red Rabbit Disaster robbed humanity of its ability to remember, people survive only by recording their memories onto cassette tapes. You play as Zephyr, an Archive Runner who edits those recordings—reading the memories of others and deciding which ones to keep. Every choice shapes a person's fate, and in time, the fate of the world itself. Rewind the tape. Edit the past. Shape the future you want.

Wind Up Deadman takes place in a world where survivors of a bio-disaster live in a solitary tower in the desert and rely on cassette tapes to preserve their memories. Players assume the role of an archive runner named Zephyr, who entrusts his soul to a robot as they track down his lost memories. Erased, implanted and reinterpreted memories dynamically influence the game’s narrative and shape Zephyr’s personality on the hunt to uncover the legacy of the past.
