About this game

This is a remake of the first game in the Ys series for the DS release. The games have been remade in 3D, with new music, art, and a new translation, while still keeping the feel of the older games. Also featured are touch control and local wireless multiplayer.

Ys Eternal is a remake of The Ancient Land of Ys. The game features technically superior visuals and soundtrack, as well as more detailed animation (e.g. enemies actually visibly collapse and die rather than blink and disappear). The most significant change in this release is the addition of an entirely new opening area, the town Barbado and its surroundings. Overworld areas have been expanded as well. There are also many more characters and a few additional side quests in this version.
