Fresh off making NFL history in London, the Afrobeats star is taking her No. 2-debuting album on the road — seven European dates in January and February, then 13 North American stops in the spring. General sale is Friday.

Some artists announce a tour. Ayra Starr is announcing one in the middle of the biggest week of her career. On Monday, October 12, the Nigerian star unveiled the Starrgirl World Tour — 20 dates across Europe and North America in early 2027, built around her album Starrgirl — as reported by The FADER, Official Charts, uDiscover Music and Exclaim. The timing is not subtle, and it is not supposed to be. One day earlier, she had stood on the field at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London and become the first Afrobeats artist ever to headline an NFL International Game halftime show. Announcing a world tour off the back of that is not promotion. It is momentum, used properly.

The tour supports Starrgirl, released August 14, 2026 through Mavin Records and Republic Records, and the album's arrival numbers explain why these rooms are getting bigger. According to uDiscover Music, Starrgirl debuted at No. 2 on Spotify's Top Albums Global chart and at No. 1 on Apple Music's album chart in 15 countries. Her collaboration with ZAYN, “Heaven Baby,” hit No. 1 on Shazam's Global Viral chart in its first week and No. 2 on the Official Afrobeats Chart. Add the career totals The Music Universe cites — more than seven billion global streams and one billion YouTube views — and the picture is clear: this is no longer a rising-star tour. It is a victory lap that happens to sell tickets.

The Dates: Europe First, Then North America

The European and UK leg runs seven dates in just under two weeks, in the kind of mid-size rooms — big enough to feel like an event, small enough to sell out fast — that tend to produce the best live reviews of an artist's career. It opens January 20, 2027 at Live Music Hall in Cologne, then January 21 at Melkweg in Amsterdam, January 24 at Zénith Paris, January 27 at Fabrique in Milan, January 29 at X-tra in Zurich, and January 31 at Forest National in Brussels, before closing February 2 at the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire in London. That London finale is a smart piece of routing: it is the city where she just played the NFL halftime, and demand there will be the story of the whole leg.

North America gets 13 dates across March and April. The run opens March 18 at House of Blues in Houston and March 19 at House of Blues in Dallas, then March 21 at the Tabernacle in Atlanta, March 24 at The Fillmore in Silver Spring, Maryland, March 25 at Big Night Live in Boston, and March 26 at Brooklyn Bowl in Philadelphia. The biggest weekend lands March 28 at Brooklyn Paramount in Brooklyn and March 29 at HISTORY in Toronto, followed by March 30 at MTELUS in Montreal. April brings April 1 at Park West in Chicago, April 2 at The Fillmore in Minneapolis, April 5 at Summit in Denver, and a closing night April 14 at The Fillmore in San Francisco. One honest note for fans elsewhere on the continent: African shows are planned for late 2026, with details still to be announced — so Lagos, Accra and Johannesburg readers should hold their complaints until that announcement lands.

How the Ticket Rollout Works

If you want in, the calendar matters more than the queue. Per The FADER's announcement coverage, North American presales through Verizon and Spotify begin today, Tuesday, October 13. The artist presale follows on Wednesday, October 14. General sale opens Friday, October 16 at 10 a.m. local time — local to the venue, so set your alarm for your city's clock, not someone else's. VIP packages are available and include premium tickets, a meet-and-greet and photo opportunity, early entry, and a signed poster.

Our practical advice, offered from hard experience with rooms this size: Shepherd's Bush Empire, Brooklyn Paramount, Park West and the two Fillmores will not wait for you. A 2,000-cap room and a fanbase that just watched its artist headline an NFL halftime in the same city is a recipe for a Friday-morning sellout, and the presales exist precisely because everyone involved knows it. If your date is one of the intimate ones, today and Wednesday are your real on-sale dates. Friday is for the lucky.

A Week That Says Where Afrobeats Is Now

Step back and look at the sequence, because it tells a bigger story than one tour. On Sunday, October 11, Starr performed the halftime show at the Eagles–Jaguars NFL International Game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium — the first Afrobeats artist to hold that slot, in a stadium, in London, in the middle of the NFL's flagship international series. On Monday, she announced a 20-city tour behind an album that debuted at No. 2 globally on Spotify. Neither event is a novelty story anymore, and that is exactly the point. A decade ago an announcement like this would have been framed as Afrobeats arriving. It has arrived. This is what it looks like when it books the rooms, sets the presales, and takes the halftime show as a tour launchpad.

For Starr herself, the Starrgirl run is the headline trek this album cycle has been pointing toward since August — the moment the streaming numbers turn into rooms full of people singing them back. Twenty dates, two continents, one very intentional London bookend at each end of the story. We will be watching which cities sell through first, and whether the promised late-2026 African dates expand the map further. For now: presales are live today, general sale is Friday at 10 a.m. local, and if history — recent, Tottenham-shaped history — is any guide, you should not dawdle.
