Gunna Just Became Only the 25th Artist Ever With 100 Hot 100 Hits

“Pop It” debuts at No. 55 on the Hot 100 dated October 24 — and that quiet debut is the one that puts Gunna in a club only 24 other artists have ever reached, in the same month he launched his own label.

The Short Version

A No. 55 debut that is actually a record

Most No. 55 debuts are forgettable. This one is arithmetic that almost nobody in music history has managed.

The Hot 100 has run since 1958. In 68 years, only 25 artists have put 100 or more songs on it, counting both lead and featured appearances. Gunna is the fourth to cross the line in 2026 alone, following J. Cole, Ariana Grande and Rod Wave — a run that tells you both how rare the club is and how the streaming era is finally letting a few careers stack entries the way album-era careers never could.

“Pop It” did not need a huge first week to make history. It needed one more entry, of any size, and it got there on a balanced start: 4.6 million streams against 4.7 million radio impressions, opening at No. 16 on Rap Airplay alongside the Hot 100 debut. This was a record built by accumulation, not by one blockbuster week.

Eight years from a guest verse to 100

Gunna’s first Hot 100 entry was not his own song. He arrived in June 2018 as a featured artist on Lil Baby’s “Life Goes On,” which also featured Lil Uzi Vert. Later that same year, his collaboration with Lil Baby, “Drip Too Hard,” climbed to No. 4 — the peak he has matched since but not yet beaten.

The 100 entries since include four top 10 hits in total: “Drip Too Hard,” “Lemonade,” “Pushin P” and “Fukumean,” which matched his career-best No. 4. The shape of the catalogue matters here. Gunna’s total was not built on one era or one album cycle; it was built across solo records, joint records and guest verses, year after year, which is exactly the kind of run the 100-entry club measures.

The chart record arrived with a CEO move

The timing is the second story. “Pop It” was released on October 9 — the same day Gunna launched SB THE LABEL in partnership with Atlantic Music Group, taking the CEO seat at his own imprint. Its first roster is three Atlanta acts: Casper Bluff, Nechie and Dracc.

The rollout joined the two moves together. The Spike Jordan-directed “Pop It” video features the label’s new signees and puts Coco Gauff — one of the biggest names in tennis — on court alongside Gunna. So the single that carried him to 100 entries is also the first public look at the company he is building to develop other artists.

That is what makes this more than a chart footnote. The 100th entry closes one argument — about the size of the catalogue Gunna has already built — on the same release that opens his next chapter, as a label head, ahead of Splurge, his seventh studio album. Splurge does not yet have a confirmed release date, and “Pop It” is its lead single, which means the club membership he just earned is also the platform the new album launches from.
