Queens of the Stone Age are not ready to show their hand — but they have told fans exactly when they will. The band has released a teaser for its upcoming touring plans in support of the new album Perfecth, with the first leg of the tour set to be announced on October 22 and a second leg to follow on November 2, according to 107.7 The Bone (KSAN) and ThePRP. Fans are being directed to sign up at qotsa.com for more information, both outlets reported.
That is, for now, the whole of the news — and the band clearly intends it that way. Neither report carries a single tour date, venue or city for the Perfecth run, and the teaser itself offered no further detail beyond the two announcement dates and the sign-up prompt, ThePRP noted. What Queens of the Stone Age have given fans is a schedule for the news itself: check back on October 22 for leg one, and again on November 2 for leg two, with the album landing in between.

An album rollout built in stages
Perfecth, the band's ninth studio album, is set for release on October 30, according to 107.7 The Bone, ThePRP and Chaoszine. Paste Magazine reports the album arrives via Matador Records and is the band's first since 2023's In Times New Roman…, which itself ended a six-year gap between albums. Chaoszine and ThePRP both report the record carries nine tracks. Three singles have already been released from the album, with “Where The Goth Girls At?” the latest, according to 107.7 The Bone and ThePRP; Consequence's earlier coverage of the album cycle names the other two as “Easy Street” and “Insignificant Other.”
The sequencing is deliberate-looking. A first tour announcement on October 22 builds a week of ticket conversation before the album exists; the album itself lands October 30; and a second leg follows on November 2, once listeners have lived with the record for a weekend. Whether that structure reflects geography — one leg per continent is a common split, though the band has said nothing of the kind — is precisely the sort of question the teaser leaves open. Nothing in either report supports guessing at cities or venues, and this story will not invent them: the routing exists only when the band publishes it, on October 22 and November 2.
What is already on the band's calendar
The tease does not arrive in a vacuum. Queens of the Stone Age have just completed their Take Cover tour with Foo Fighters and close out their year with shows in Iceland, Japan, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand, according to Consequence. Paste Magazine separately reported a one-night-only Los Angeles event, billed as Joshua Homme and Friends, at The Wiltern on November 16 — after Perfecth's release — benefiting CORE and the Sweet Stuff Foundation, with a bill of collaborators from the band's orbit. Those dates are benefits and previously announced appearances, not the Perfecth tour itself; the headline run being teased is a separate, still-unannounced thing, and fans signing up at qotsa.com are signing up for that reveal.

The band making the record
Queens of the Stone Age formed in Palm Desert, California, in 1996, founded by vocalist and guitarist Josh Homme after the breakup of Kyuss, and Homme remains the band's sole consistent member, according to Chaoszine's background on the group. The current lineup — Homme alongside Troy Van Leeuwen, Michael Shuman, Dean Fertita and Jon Theodore — has been in place since 2013, Chaoszine reports. That stability matters for a tour tease like this one: the Perfecth run, whatever its routing turns out to be, will be played by the same five musicians who made the band's last several records, not a reshuffled touring cast.
There is also recent evidence of how this band likes to present itself live when it has something new to say. Range Magazine's coverage of the Perfecth cycle describes the band's Catacombs performances in Paris and the resulting Catacombs Tour last fall, which rebuilt songs from across the catalogue in deconstructed form, and characterizes Perfecth as the sound of a band in a new chapter — more subdued and introspective in places, without losing its confidence. A conventional arena routing is not the only shape a Queens of the Stone Age tour can take, which is another reason the October 22 announcement is worth waiting for rather than pre-writing.
What fans should do now
The only action available today is the one the band asked for: sign up at qotsa.com, as both 107.7 The Bone and ThePRP reported, so the October 22 first-leg announcement and the November 2 second-leg announcement reach you directly. Mark October 30 for the album itself. And treat any routing list circulating before October 22 with suspicion — the band has published none, and a list that exists before the band's own announcement date is, by definition, not the band's. Previously will update its music coverage when the first leg lands; until then, browse the Music section and today's News for the rest of the evening's stories.
