Saturday night belonged to the comebacks and the closers. No. 18 USC scored the final 15 points to stun Washington 25-21 at the Coliseum, William Contreras went deep in the seventh to lift the Brewers past the Padres 3-2 in the NLDS opener, and Texas Tech's defense feasted on four second-half interceptions in a 29-7 rout of Colorado. Here's every final from a 58-game night.

1. USC storms back to beat Washington 25-21 at the Coliseum

No. 18 USC scored the game's final 15 points and survived a last-minute Washington drive for a 25-21 win at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Down 21-10 in the second half with "Fire Lincoln!" chants raining from the student section, the Trojans flipped the game on defense: Jahkeem Stewart returned Demond Williams Jr.'s fumble 48 yards for the go-ahead touchdown, and Kameryn Crawford's third-down sack set up a fourth-down incompletion from the USC 12 with 39 seconds left. Jayden Maiava threw for 245 yards and a score for the 5-1 Trojans, who beat the Huskies for the first time since 2016. Williams passed for 198 yards but was sacked five times as Washington lost its second straight by a combined seven points. Trojans · Huskies · College football

2. Brewers edge Padres 3-2 in a wild NLDS Game 1

William Contreras broke a 2-2 tie with a two-out solo homer in the seventh — 406 feet to center off Adrián Morejón — and the Brewers held on for a 3-2 win over the Padres in the NL Division Series opener in Milwaukee. Jackson Chourio's two-run shot in the third tied it and set the franchise record for career postseason homers. Jacob Misiorowski needed 88 pitches to get through four innings (two runs, six strikeouts), and Trevor Megill closed out a four-out save by striking out Fernando Tatis Jr. with runners at the corners. The weirdest play of the postseason so far: Ty France's ninth-inning fly scraped a roof cable at American Family Field and dropped in for an out after a Padres challenge. Game 2 is Sunday. Will Hammond's 11-yard touchdown to Terrance Carter Jr. gave the 5-0 Red Raiders their first lead late in the third; Quentin Joyner added a 30-yard insurance score. Isaac Wilson threw for 290 yards and a touchdown in his first Colorado start but was picked three times, and Deion Sanders pointed at "one glaring problem" afterward: quarterback.
