The Frequency Of Love Tour will not open where it was supposed to. Victoria Monét has cancelled her tour dates in Raleigh, North Carolina, and New Orleans, Louisiana, and pushed the start of the North American trek back by four days, InMusicBlog reported on October 20, 2026. The tour had been scheduled to begin on October 27 in Raleigh; it will now open on October 31 in Houston, Texas. A third date, in Charlotte, North Carolina, survives — but in a different venue, on a different date, indoors.
Ticketmaster’s own listings corroborate the shape of the changes. Its listing for the New Orleans show — Friday, October 30 at The Fillmore New Orleans — is now explicitly marked “Cancelled,” while the Charlotte entry is flagged as moved to Ovens Auditorium, with a new Charlotte date listed on November 5 at that venue. The Houston show at 713 Music Hall on October 31 stands as the tour’s first night. Raleigh’s date was to have been played at the Red Hat Amphitheater, per the tour’s published itinerary.

The reason she gave, and the apology
InMusicBlog reported that Monét attributed the cancellations to production challenges with the outdoor venues on the route, together with the size of the New Orleans venue, and that the Charlotte move indoors was made so the production could be accommodated properly. Raleigh’s Red Hat Amphitheater and Charlotte’s original venue, the Skyla Credit Union Amphitheatre, are both outdoor amphitheaters; The Fillmore New Orleans is indoors, which is why the reported explanation treats its issue as one of size rather than weather exposure. No other reason has been stated in the reporting, and Previously is not aware of any health or personal announcement attached to the changes.
Her message to the affected fans was a direct apology. “I’m extremely sorry to everyone who made plans to be there, and I was sooo ready to come see you!! Im really really sorry,” she wrote, as quoted by InMusicBlog. Addressing the new opening night, she added: “Houston, I’ll see you so soon for opening night!!”
What Raleigh ticket holders can do
The practical question for Raleigh fans is what a cancelled opening night is worth, and Monét’s team has put one concrete offer on the table. According to InMusicBlog, Raleigh ticket holders willing to travel to Charlotte can use their Raleigh tickets to receive 50 percent off admission to the rescheduled Charlotte show at Ovens Auditorium on November 5 — an offer the report described as help toward the additional travel costs the cancellation imposes. Charlotte is the nearest remaining date on the route, and the offer only helps fans who can make the trip; InMusicBlog’s report did not set out separate refund terms for the Raleigh and New Orleans cancellations beyond this alternative, so holders who cannot travel should go back to their point of purchase — the venue box office or the ticketing platform that sold the ticket — for the refund position on a cancelled event, and keep the confirmation email from the seller, which is where cancellation notices and deadlines are normally issued.
What Charlotte ticket holders need to know
Charlotte is a move, not a cancellation, and the terms are clearer. The show originally listed for the Skyla Credit Union Amphitheatre will now be played indoors at Ovens Auditorium on November 5, a change Ticketmaster’s listing reflects directly. InMusicBlog reported that previously purchased Charlotte tickets will either be transferred to the new date or refunded, at the holder’s choice — so Charlotte fans who can attend on November 5 do not need to rebook, and those who cannot are not expected to absorb the change. If you hold Charlotte tickets, the thing to verify this week is which of those two paths your seller has applied by default, because transferred tickets sometimes arrive as new barcodes in the account rather than by email.

The tour the album built
The changes land three weeks into the album cycle they were built to support. Frequency Of Love, Monét’s sophomore studio album, was released on October 2, 2026 through Lovett Music in partnership with RCA Records, with the singles “Let Me,” “Reach Out” and “Juicy,” InMusicBlog reported. The album debuted and peaked at No. 49 on the Billboard 200 — a figure That Grape Juice’s chart report and Wikipedia’s chart table for the album both corroborate, with That Grape Juice noting the No. 49 debut was the highest Billboard 200 placement of her career, ahead of Jaguar II’s No. 60 peak. Previously covered the album itself on release in our Frequency Of Love album report; this story is only about the dates.
The rest of the route, as Ticketmaster currently lists it, is intact: Dallas on November 2, Atlanta on November 4, the rescheduled Charlotte show on November 5, Fort Lauderdale on November 7 and Tampa on November 8, before the tour continues through the Midwest and Northeast and crosses to Toronto on November 21. For the full catalog and the rest of her music, see her page in Previously’s Music section. Raleigh and New Orleans fans, though, are the ones doing arithmetic this week — on travel, on refunds, and on whether a half-price ticket two cities away is a consolation or a plan. Monét’s apology suggests she knows it cannot fully be both.
