That 70 average hides a game its 243 fans would defend to the death. Adventure in the classic sense: open world, forward momentum, and places worth seeing. Worth it for the campaign alone — the multiplayer stuck around and became its own thing.

About this game

Hustle by day and risk it all at night in Need for Speed Heat, a white-knuckle street racer, where the lines of the law fade as the sun starts to set. By day, Palm City hosts the Speedhunter Showdown, a sanctioned competition where you earn Bank to customize and upgrade your high-performance cars. At night, ramp up the intensity in illicit street races that build your reputation, getting you access to bigger races and better parts. But stay ready – cops are waiting and not all of them play fair.

In Palm City, learn to hustle by day and risk it all at night. Drive the world's most popular cars in a mission to form a crew, stake your claim with Palm City's street-racing elites, and uncover a money-laundering conspiracy surrounding the police's High Speed Task Force, led by Lt. Frank Mercer. Get rich, get rolling, and best of all... Get ready for some HEAT!
