Bad Bunny's Two adidas BadBos Land November 12, Not November 7

adidas's own announcement puts both pairs on the CONFIRMED app on Thursday, November 12 — the BadBo 1.0 in “Grey Three” at $160 and the low-top BadBo 1.1 in “Simple Brown” at $120. Most early listings said November 7. The brand's date is the one that counts.

Two generations of Bad Bunny’s signature adidas line release on the same morning. The original BadBo 1.0 returns in “Grey Three,” and its low-top follow-up, the BadBo 1.1, arrives in “Simple Brown” — one drop, both halves of the line, on the adidas CONFIRMED app and at select retailers worldwide.

Set the reminder for the 12th

Most of the early coverage had this drop on Saturday, November 7 — Sneaker News, Hypebeast and the first House of Heat° listing all said so, and plenty of pages still do. adidas settled it with its own announcement on November 5: both pairs release Thursday, November 12. The trackers that have updated since — House of Heat°, Sole Retriever, Sneaker Bar Detroit — have moved to the 12th with the brand. If a listing in front of you says the 7th, it is working from the old date. The 12th is the morning to be ready for.

The 1.1 leads at $120

The BadBo 1.1 is the newer cut of the line — low-profile, introduced in September, built around three wave-like overlays that adidas says echo the contours of Puerto Rico’s coastline. The “Simple Brown” colorway (Simple Brown/Feather Grey/Sandy Pink, LM5057) layers shaggy and smooth brown suedes over pale pink mesh, with a heritage T-toe up front, a clean white midsole and a gum outsole underneath. adidas frames the palette as the warmth of the Puerto Rican coast at sunset. At $120, it is the cheaper door into the line by $40.

The original, in storm grey

The BadBo 1.0 is where the line started — Bad Bunny’s first signature silhouette with adidas, the shoe he wore for his Super Bowl halftime performance in February, after years of reworking existing Three Stripes models like the Forum, the Campus and the Gazelle Indoor. The “Grey Three” colorway (Grey Three/Cloud White/Orbit Grey, LC5290) keeps the taller cut and goes tonal: grey suede over white leather, a Cloud White midsole, and one loud detail — blue “BB” tips on the laces. adidas says the palette draws from the atmospheric shifts of a Puerto Rican rainstorm, the grey answer to the 1.1’s sunset. It retails for $160. Both pairs come in unisex sizing.

One line, two heights

Signature lines do not usually stack their own generations like this — the follow-up normally waits for the original to cool off. Bad Bunny and adidas are running the opposite play: the 1.0 and the 1.1 on one morning, the tall shoe and the low shoe, storm grey and sunset brown, $160 and $120. The campaign makes the same point about range, putting the silhouette on five very different feet: Toñita, the Brooklyn club founder; skateboarder Tyshawn Jones; Olympic great Jackie Joyner-Kersee; Olympic medalist shooter Kim Ye-ji; and Dodgers infielder Kiké Hernández. Both pairs land Thursday, November 12, on the adidas CONFIRMED app and at select retailers. Set the reminder for the 12th — not the date still sitting on half the internet.
