Eagles Add Two More Sphere Shows in Las Vegas, Pushing Their Record Residency to 74

Due to overwhelming demand, the Eagles have added January 8 and 9, 2027 shows to “Eagles – Live in Concert at Sphere,” extending the longest-running residency in the Las Vegas venue’s history to 74 shows. Tickets start at $175, with the general on-sale October 30.

The Eagles were supposed to be winding down at Sphere. Instead, they keep adding Fridays. Due to overwhelming demand, two additional shows — Friday, January 8 and Saturday, January 9, 2027 — have been added to “Eagles – Live in Concert at Sphere,” the longest-running residency at the Las Vegas venue, now totaling 74 shows, according to BroadwayWorld’s October 20 announcement coverage. TicketNews reported the same additions the same day, noting the two January dates bring the band’s engagement to 74 scheduled shows and extend its record as Sphere’s longest-running concert residency. JamBase and The Music Universe, which billed the new dates as the band’s 73rd and 74th shows at the venue, reported the same expansion.

Think about that number for a second. Seventy-four shows, in one room, by a band that formed in the fall of 1971. The New York Post, also reporting the additions, put the gap in perspective: the next-longest Sphere residency, Dead & Company, sits at 48 shows. The Eagles are not just holding the record; they are lapping the field, one “overwhelming demand” headline at a time.

How to get tickets

The general on-sale for the newly added January 8 and 9 shows begins Friday, October 30 at 10 a.m. PT at Ticketmaster, according to BroadwayWorld. Artist presale registration is available now at eagles.com, powered by Seated, and the presale begins Wednesday, October 28 at 10 a.m. PT, with additional presale opportunities starting Thursday, October 29 at 10 a.m. PT. Tickets start at $175 and reflect all-in pricing — the listed price includes taxes and fees — according to BroadwayWorld and The Music Universe. Limited VIP ticket packages, with premium seats, exclusive merchandise and parking, are available through eagles.com, and Vibee, the official hotel and experience package partner, offers bundles pairing a concert ticket with a two-night stay at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas, the only resort connected to Sphere.

The full upcoming run now reads like a winter calendar of its own: November 13 and 14, November 27 and 28, December 4 and 5, December 11 and 12, then the January block — the new January 8 and 9 dates ahead of the previously announced January 15, 16, 22 and 23 shows, per BroadwayWorld and TicketNews. TicketNews noted the path here: four December 2026 shows announced in July took the total to 68, four January 2027 shows announced in August took it to 72, and this week’s pair completes the climb to 74.

The show itself, and the Hotel California you can walk through

The production leans fully into what Sphere does that no arena can. The shows use Sphere’s wraparound, highest-resolution LED display — a screen that wraps up, over and around the audience to create a fully immersive visual environment — and Sphere Immersive Sound, the venue’s concert-grade audio system, according to BroadwayWorld. It is the rare residency where the room is genuinely part of the act: fifty-year-old songs, delivered inside the most advanced performance space ever built.

The concerts also come with a destination attached. The Eagles Third Encore Experience returns to The Venetian, in the Summit Showroom just off Restaurant Row, and it is free and open to the public, according to BroadwayWorld and The Music Universe. The experience brings Hotel California to life through interactive installations, rare memorabilia and exclusive merchandise, with Vibee VIP package holders receiving special access to a recreation of the iconic Troubadour — the West Hollywood club where the band’s story effectively began. The Music Universe adds a detail collectors will appreciate: the band’s recently awarded 40-times platinum plaque for Their Greatest Hits 1971–1975, standing nearly five feet by four feet, will be on display at the Third Encore throughout the residency.

Why this band, why this room, why it keeps working

The staying power is not nostalgia alone; the catalogue’s numbers are absurd by any era’s standards. Formed in the fall of 1971, the Eagles pioneered a blend of country, folk, R&B, rock and pop, and have sold more than 150 million albums worldwide, scored six No. 1 albums and five No. 1 singles, and earned six Grammy Awards, according to BroadwayWorld. They were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998, in their first year of eligibility, and received the Kennedy Center Honors in 2016. BroadwayWorld also notes the band kicked off 2026 by becoming the first act to earn Quadruple Diamond certification from the RIAA, for more than 40 million units of Their Greatest Hits 1971–1975, still the best-selling album of all time in the United States, while Hotel California was re-certified 28-times platinum.

Las Vegas has seen every kind of residency, from the two-week curiosity to the multi-year institution. This one is now in the second category’s top shelf: a run that began in September 2024, stretches into a third calendar year, and keeps growing because the demand line keeps moving. At some point the story stops being “the Eagles add shows” and becomes “Sphere has a house band, and it is the Eagles.” Seventy-four shows in, that point is basically here. Fans who want the newest pair should mark October 28 for the presale and October 30 for the general on-sale — if this residency has taught Las Vegas anything, it is that “added due to demand” dates do not stay available for long.
