Three words can land like a verdict when they are the right three words. Swedish metal band ELEINE have released "Ich Sehe Dich," their new single and music video, Popzine reported — a track from the band's fifth studio album, The Water Taste Of Blood, due December 4, 2026 through Algoth Records with exclusive distribution by Sound Pollution. Chaoszine reported the same release, describing the single as the most direct statement yet from the upcoming album. The timing is deliberate: the single arrives while ELEINE are already out on their most extensive European headline tour to date, so the new song is being introduced to audiences from the stage and the screen at the same time.

A Chorus That Looks Back

The construction is a study in tension. Popzine reported that the song's melodic verses build gradually before heavy, driving riffs break through them, and Metal Underground reported the same contrast — calm verses shattered by chugging riffs — as the engine of the track. At the centre sits a three-word German chorus that Popzine translated simply as "I see you." Per Popzine, the lyrics confront manipulation and destructive shame, continuing the album's running themes of lies, betrayal and their consequences that earlier singles had sketched in broader strokes; where those songs described empires of lies falling, this one brings the reckoning face to face. Rikard Ekberg and Madeleine Liljestam, the band's creative core, said of the song's central moment, via Chaoszine: "Ich Sehe Dich is about that exact moment" — the moment of saying it directly to someone who has tried to hurt people by spreading lies. The pair added, in comments carried by Popzine, that placing the chorus in another language felt entirely natural and that the words fell into place in a way that underlines the weight of the message. It is a confrontation song, written for anyone who has decided to stop letting someone else's version of events shape them.

The German Thread in ELEINE's Story

Longtime fans will hear an echo. Both Popzine and Chaoszine noted that "Ich Sehe Dich" stands alongside "Mein Herz Brennt," the band's cover that has become a favourite of the ELEINE Legion — the band's name for its fanbase — and an established reference point for German-language material in the ELEINE repertoire. That lineage matters: this is not a novelty detour but a thread the band has been weaving for years, now pulled into an original song at the heart of a new album. The album itself, according to the track listing published by Different Stages Radio, runs 11 songs — opening with "Watch As We Rise" and closing with "The Great Battle," with "Ich Sehe Dich" placed sixth, after fellow single "Liars Linger." Rock Poser reported that the band arrives at this album with serious momentum behind it: a No. 1 album on the Swedish sales charts in its history, shared stages over the years with acts including Arch Enemy, Kamelot and W.A.S.P., music videos past 60 million views, and a following of nearly 700,000 across social and streaming platforms. 31 Concerts, Ending With the Album

The live campaign is the biggest the band has mounted. Popzine reported that the European headline itinerary comprises 31 concerts, and that several dates on ELEINE's previous European tour sold out — the demand that justified scaling up. The run opened October 8 at Logo in Hamburg, continued through Dortmund, Hoogeveen and Kortrijk, and reaches the United Kingdom this week: tonight, October 13, at The Underworld in London, then October 14 at The Brook in Southampton, October 15 at Rebellion in Manchester, October 16 at Slay in Glasgow, October 17 at Saltbox in Nottingham and October 18 at O2 Institute 2 in Birmingham, per the itinerary published by Popzine. Rock Poser reported that the tour closes on home soil in Sweden, ending with an exclusive album-release show on December 5 at Mejeriet in Lund — the night after The Water Taste Of Blood arrives, turning the album launch itself into the tour's finale. It is a neat piece of sequencing: fans across the continent hear the new material first, and the Legion at home gets the celebration. A Band Built With Its Audience

What began in southern Sweden has grown into one of metal's most dedicated fan communities, and ELEINE's story is as much about that bond as about any single record. Rock Poser reported that the band has built its following through acclaimed releases, successful headline tours and a direct connection with its audience that extends well beyond the stage — including the patrons who helped make the "Ich Sehe Dich" video possible. That infrastructure now carries real weight: a fifth album arriving on Algoth Records with Sound Pollution distribution, a 31-date headline run already underway, and a single that compresses the band's whole dramatic signature — melody, heaviness, theatre and a chorus you understand in any language — into one statement. December 4 is the date to circle. Until then, the new single is the sound of a band looking its subject in the eye.
