Jørgensen's First-Half Brace Powers LASK's 4-0 Rout of Slovan Bratislava

Kasper Jørgensen scored twice before half-time, Robert Ljubičić and Samuel Adeniran finished the job, and LASK made it back-to-back Champions League wins — 4-0 over a Slovan Bratislava side still without a point.

LASK did not waste the night.

Three weeks after winning 3-2 at Sporting CP, the Austrian side ran over Slovan Bratislava 4-0 at the Raiffeisen Arena — three up by half-time, four by the 48th minute, and never once in trouble.

Kasper Jørgensen started it on 19 minutes, scoring off a corner sequence with Moses Usor credited with the assist. On 37 minutes he did it himself: Robert Ljubičić was stopped just outside the box, Jørgensen took the free-kick and curled it low around the wall and into the corner, past Aleksandar Popović. The Dane finished as the game's top-rated player. The full match archive is in the Game Center.

Ljubičić got his goal a minute before the break. Sascha Horvath's corner was not cleared, Andrés Andrade headed the loose ball back into the middle, and Ljubičić kept his head in the scramble to turn it in from close range. Three minutes after half-time Horvath set up the fourth, Samuel Adeniran finishing with power.

The score flattered Slovan. LASK put up 29 shots to seven and an expected-goals line of 4.77 to 0.53, and in the 91st minute they hit the woodwork twice in one sequence — Andrade's deflected shot off the bar, Saša Kalajdžić's diving header off the post. Kicker's verdict was blunt: Slovan were completely desolate, and LASK should have won 8-0.
