Netflix announced Monday that Druski — born Drew Desbordes — has signed a multiyear deal with the streamer, under which he and his company, 4LIFERS Entertainment, will develop and produce several original series exclusively for Netflix. It is the biggest platform move of his career: the comedian who built one of the largest audiences in comedy on free social video now takes his characters to the biggest subscription stage in the business.
The first project out of the deal is “Collect & Praise,” a semi-scripted comedy series premiering December 1. Druski stars as a money-hungry megachurch pastor — the character he first made viral in his online sketches — and Mike Epps co-stars as his unpredictable deacon. In Netflix’s logline, faith comes second to fortune as the pair scheme their way through scandal, chaos and controversy. 4LIFERS Entertainment produces the series, and a trailer arrived with Monday’s announcement.
“I’ve built my platform by creating characters and comedy that resonate with people,” Druski said in a statement. “This partnership with Netflix will give me the resources to build on that comedy foundation and bring my work to a new global audience. It’s a tremendous opportunity for our team at 4LIFERS Entertainment to expand our reach, develop original programming for the masses and take our creativity to new heights.”
Netflix’s John Derderian, the vice president who oversees Next Gen Content, pointed to the same gift. “Druski has a gift for building characters that people can’t stop talking about,” Derderian said. “We want the best talent in the world to bring us their most ambitious work, reach new audiences and build their brands. ‘Collect & Praise’ is just the beginning, and we welcome Druski to Netflix.” Druski is represented by WME, which brokered the deal.
The deal also reaches backward into the catalog that made him. Netflix will license select titles from Druski’s existing library — “Coulda Been Love,” “Coulda Been Daddy,” “Coulda Been Records Auditions” and his comedy skits — putting the independently produced franchises that built his name in front of the streamer’s global audience alongside the new originals.
The announcement lands in the middle of the biggest week of his career. On Saturday, November 7, Druski hosts “Saturday Night Live” — the first digital creator ever to host the show, a milestone Previously has covered since the booking landed. Earlier this year he became the youngest host in BET Awards history. Rolling Stone ranked him No. 1 on its 2026 Most Influential Creator list, and he carries 15.6 million followers on TikTok and roughly 40 million across platforms.
The run has been building for nearly a decade. Druski started posting skits on Instagram in 2017 and turned a phone camera into a production company, self-financing the “Coulda Been” franchises after the traditional gatekeepers passed — he has spoken about Netflix being among the companies that rejected his pitches before he began financing his own productions. The screen work followed the audience: film roles in “House Party,” “Praise This” and “Livestream from Hell” alongside Kevin Hart and Kai Cenat, music-video appearances for Drake, Jack Harlow and Lil Yachty, and a 2027 romantic comedy, “The Catch,” opposite Emma Stone and Chris Pine, with “The Diggers,” developed with Kenya Barris, also on his slate.
What happens next is the real question the deal sets up. Druski’s audience was built on free, instant, endlessly shared video; Netflix is a subscription wall. The streamer is betting that the characters people can’t stop talking about will carry that audience with them — and that 4LIFERS, given real resources, becomes a comedy studio and not just a feed. December 1 is the first answer. Saturday night, on the SNL stage no creator has ever been handed, is the second.
