Fourteen days. That is the number on the calendar now.
Rockstar Games opened The Launch Gallery on Thursday, November 5 — 39 new in-game screenshots of Grand Theft Auto VI, the biggest open world the studio has ever built, set to unlock on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19. The gallery’s own closing line does not hedge: “See you in Leonida on November 19.”
This is the last big look before the door opens. And Rockstar dressed it like a night out in the most expensive zip code on the map.

The city that never clocked out
Vice City always sold a fantasy. Neon that makes cheap look expensive. Cars that sit in the frame like jewelry. Nights that refuse to end. The Launch Gallery leans into that luxury hard — not as a brochure, as a mood. There is a packed club under hanging Monstera and disco light, a DJ booth glowing TEILE, the dance floor thick with mesh, metallics, and bodies that move like the city paid them to show up. Another still drops a woman under a rain of dollar bills in pink-and-cyan club light. Fashion as flex. Nightlife as the point. The kind of frame you would expect from a fashion house that also happens to rob banks.
Then there is Lucia Caminos in the rain behind glass — purple neon on her face, a gold boxing-glove pendant at her throat, a pistol held close. The skin work is the detail everyone keeps circling. Pores you can count. Sweat that reads like humidity. A necklace that says more about her than a paragraph of backstory. That is the culture half of this drop: Leonida does not just look dense. It looks lived-in, styled, and a little dangerous in the same breath.

Jason, Lucia, and the rest of Leonida
The gallery is stacked with Jason Duval and Lucia together and apart. A bank job with bandanas up and cash in hand. A golden-hour car stop with Jason in a Leonida tank top and a gun in the window. Jason low on a Principe sportbike while a Vapid cruiser and a helicopter try to end his night on wet asphalt. The Bonnie-and-Clyde frame Rockstar has been selling since the first trailer is not a slogan in these stills. It is the composition — two people, one conspiracy, a state that looks too pretty to be this dangerous.
And then the shot PC Gamer could not leave alone: Jason in a firefight near what looks like a hangar, sparks cutting the air, and behind him a German Shepherd in full tactical harness. Combat dog. In Leonida. Of course it is.

The Florida Man energy is here too, and Rockstar is not soft-pedaling it. A scarred man at a swamp campsite with a snake on his shoulder and an alligator carcass on the table. A knife-and-mullet standoff by a pickup under golden light. Cops with the mustache-and-aviator combination that only works in this state. Rural Leonida sits next to the club district without apology — sun, swamp, neon, and characters who look like they walked out of a true-crime scroll and into a luxury campaign by accident.

Underwater, the gallery goes quiet on purpose: a lionfish in a cavern, a scuba diver cutting a beam through turquoise water, the hull of a boat above. Nightlife is the headline. Wildlife is the reminder that this map is a whole state — Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Vice City — not just a skyline with a soundtrack.

The clock is already running
November 19 is still launch day. What moved is the runway into it. Rockstar pulled the digital preload forward to November 10 — up to 212 GB depending on the console — so the hard-drive deadline hits before the unlock does. On PlayStation 5, preloading begins at midnight local time on November 10. On Xbox Series X|S, Rockstar set one global start — 12 a.m. GMT on November 10. PC still has no date. Consoles do.
Thirteen years after Grand Theft Auto V, Rockstar is not asking anyone to imagine Leonida anymore. The trailers made the appointment. The Launch Gallery keeps it. Thirty-nine stills, official, on Rockstar’s own site, two weeks from the biggest entertainment release on the board. Clear the calendar. Clear the drive. Vice City is done posing.
