Some comebacks arrive with a whisper. This one arrives with a clock striking twelve. SEVENTEEN's Jeonghan and Joshua release their first mini-album as the duo JxJ, titled DREAMSCAPE, today — Monday, October 19 — at 6 p.m. KST, according to allkpop. KpopStarz reported the same release date and time, and KStarTrend, which covered the album's highlight sampler earlier this month, likewise reported the October 19 release. According to allkpop, PLEDIS Entertainment announced the project on September 23, with preorders opening that same day at 11 a.m. KST. Seven tracks, two voices SEVENTEEN fans have blended for a decade, and — for Jeonghan — the first major project since a very long pause.

That pause is the emotional engine here. According to the Korea Herald, in coverage carried by Pirates & Princesses, Jeonghan completed his military service in June 2026, becoming the first SEVENTEEN member to complete his service. allkpop likewise framed DREAMSCAPE as Jeonghan's first major project since that completion. KpopStarz reported that the duo concept presents Jeonghan and Joshua as “dreamers,” and you do not need to stretch to feel why: one half of this duo spent its recent past in uniform and on schedule, dreaming literally and otherwise, while the other half kept singing. DREAMSCAPE, according to PLEDIS's concept as reported by KpopStarz, is built exactly on that border — the landscape of dreams, where the fantasies of unconscious sleep collide with the ambitions chased while awake, until the boundary between them dissolves.

Seven tracks, two solos, one title song built to move

The tracklist rewards a close read. According to allkpop, DREAMSCAPE contains seven tracks including the title track “12 o'clock” and a solo song from each member. KStarTrend, reporting on the highlight sampler on October 9, filled in the colours: “12 o'clock” is dance-rock laced with 1970s and 80s disco-funk, co-written and co-composed by BUMZU, the longtime SEVENTEEN collaborator whose fingerprints are all over the group's catalogue. According to KStarTrend, “No Looking Back” leans on raw guitar and bass, “Like You” runs on house and synth textures, “Outside” is built around electronic piano, and “One Plus One” is carried by arpeggiated guitar. KpopStarz's track coverage matched that shape, describing a record that moves between the dancefloor and the dream state rather than camping in either.

Then there are the solos, which are where duo albums tell the truth. According to KStarTrend, Joshua's solo “Not Personal” works in rock, funk and alternative pop — a slightly spikier palette than his main-group balladry — while Jeonghan's solo “Coloring” opens dreamy before blooming into synth. allkpop also noted the inclusion of one solo track per member. Read together, according to KStarTrend's sampler reporting, the sequencing makes an argument: the title track is the midnight hour where the two worlds meet, the group tracks are the landscape, and the solos are the individual dreamers inside it. It is a concept album structure wearing a mini-album's clothes, which is a very SEVENTEEN thing to do.

A pop-up that sold out, and a tour that did too

If you want to know whether the demand is real, do not look at the charts yet — look at the reservations page. According to allkpop, a DREAMSCAPE pop-up at HYBE Yongsan in Seoul runs October 20 to 25, and every reservation session sold out on opening. allkpop reported that the pop-up's media wall screens the “12 o'clock” music video. KpopStarz also reported the pop-up and its sold-out sessions. An album that has not yet been heard in full sold out five days of in-person listening and looking in a single opening — that is fandom as advance scout, and it suggests PLEDIS read the appetite for this pairing correctly.

The tour tells the same story at arena scale. According to allkpop, the “JEONGHAN X JOSHUA JOURNEY INTO [DREAMING]” tour opens at Inspire Arena in Incheon with shows October 30 to November 1, and those dates sold out in the fan presale. KpopStarz reported the same tour route: after Incheon, the duo plays Saitama, Macau, Taipei, Busan and Hong Kong. Six stops, two singers, one brand-new catalogue of seven songs plus whatever SEVENTEEN history they choose to carry with them — the setlist mathematics alone guarantees these will be unusual, intimate-by-arena-standards nights. According to allkpop, the album itself ships in two versions, the Daydreamers Ver. and the Dreamchasers Ver., a split that mirrors the concept: sleep's dreamers on one side, waking ambition's chasers on the other.

Why this pairing, why now

SEVENTEEN's vocal line has always contained multitudes, but Jeonghan and Joshua share a particular register — soft-edged, close-harmony, slightly mischievous — that fans have singled out for years. According to KpopStarz, PLEDIS's framing of JxJ as “dreamers” leans directly into that quality rather than sanding it into generic pop. And the timing, according to allkpop's reporting on Jeonghan's post-service return, gives the project a narrative no marketing department could manufacture: the first member back from service does not re-enter through a giant group comeback, but through a two-person record about dreaming and waking. That is a statement about where he has been, whether or not a single lyric says it out loud.

DREAMSCAPE is out today, October 19, at 6 p.m. KST, according to allkpop, KpopStarz and KStarTrend. The pop-up opens tomorrow in Yongsan, the tour opens October 30 in Incheon, and the first member of SEVENTEEN to finish his service is, as of this afternoon in Seoul, officially back at work — at twelve o'clock, naturally, where the dreams and the daylight meet.
