Australia, your patience is about to pay off. Nickelback announced the Australian leg of their 2027 Everything Under the Sun world tour this weekend — seven dates across the country this October, presented by Live Nation and Triple M, with British rockers Don Broco joining as direct support. The run opens Saturday, October 2 at Perth's RAC Arena and wraps Saturday, October 16 at Roche Estate in Pokolbin, with stops in Adelaide, Melbourne, Geelong, Brisbane and Sydney along the way.
It's the final stretch of what the band is billing as a massive global arena run, celebrating their eleventh studio album, Everything Under the Sun, due out October 30 via Virgin Music Group. North America gets the first swing — dates run February through April — followed by the UK and Europe from May to July, and then the tour lands Down Under. The announcement keeps a pattern intact: after the record-setting world tour behind 2022's Get Rollin', Nickelback aren't exactly shy about touring at scale.
The Australian itinerary has a nice mix. Five indoor arena dates — Perth, Adelaide (Entertainment Centre), Melbourne (Rod Laver Arena), Brisbane (Entertainment Centre) and Sydney (Afterpay Arena) — bookended around two outdoor winery shows: Mount Duneed Estate in Geelong on October 9 and Roche Estate in the Hunter Valley on October 16. Those two are promoted by Face To Face Touring, while the rest fall under the Live Nation/Triple M banner. If you've been to a winery show in Australia, you know the assignment: sunset, a few thousand people on a hill, and a band playing like it's a stadium anyway.
The presale ladder
Tickets go on general sale Friday, October 16 at 10am local time — a full year before the first show, which tells you how these arena runs get built now. Before that, there's a whole week of presales to work through, and the windows are specific. The artist presale runs Tuesday, October 13 at 10am through Thursday, October 15 at 10pm. Vodafone mobile customers and Mastercard cardholders get their own windows starting Wednesday, October 14 at 10am, also closing Thursday the 15th at 10pm. Live Nation's presale is a one-day shot — Thursday, October 15, 10am to 10pm — and Spotify's runs that same Thursday from noon to 10pm. Westfield members get reserved access from Thursday, October 15 at 10am through October 22.
One wrinkle: the Vodafone and Westfield Reserved presales don't apply to the two outdoor shows in Geelong and Pokolbin — Face To Face Touring handles those dates, so the ticketing path is separate. All times are local, and the official source for everything is livenation.com.au. VIP packages are in the mix too, with the usual spread — premium tickets, pre-show lounge access, exclusive merch, and a dedicated message from the band.
The album they're bringing
Everything Under the Sun arrives October 30, and the rollout so far has range. The lead single, Rattle The Cage, features guitarist John 5 and is currently sitting at No. 1 at US Active Rock radio — blistering guitars, pounding riffs, arena-sized energy, the whole Nickelback thesis statement. Two more singles, Leave Me Behind and Make Me Love You, have shown a more vulnerable, emotionally expansive side of the record. It's a familiar album-cycle playbook for a band that has defined rock radio for two decades: hit hard first, then show the soft underbelly.
The credentials barely need repeating, but let's: Canadian, RIAA Diamond-certified, Grammy-nominated, and one of the most commercially successful rock bands of the modern era. They've also been making a habit of defying the "everyone hates Nickelback" narrative — which, in 2026, reads increasingly like a bit that stopped being funny a decade ago while the band kept selling out buildings. The Get Rollin' world tour set records. This one is built bigger.
We covered the initial world tour announcement in our October 9 music roundup — this is the Australian detail the announcement pointed toward, now locked in with venues, dates and the full presale ladder. For fans in Perth, the symmetry is fun: Nickelback played Perth Arena on the 2012 Here And Now tour, and the 2027 run opens in that same building — now RAC Arena — fifteen years later.
The UK and European leg sits between the North American dates and Australia — cities including London, Paris, Berlin and Amsterdam across May, June and July — which means by the time the tour reaches Perth in October 2027, this band will have been playing this material for the better part of a year. That's usually when a tour goes from "promoting the album" to "just plain dangerous" — the songs are in the muscle memory and the show gets looser, louder and better.
Oct. 2 Perth (RAC Arena) · Oct. 5 Adelaide (Entertainment Centre) · Oct. 7 Melbourne (Rod Laver Arena) · Oct. 9 Geelong (Mount Duneed Estate) · Oct. 12 Brisbane (Entertainment Centre) · Oct. 14 Sydney (Afterpay Arena) · Oct. 16 Pokolbin (Roche Estate). Everything Under the Sun — 11th studio album, out Oct. 30 via Virgin Music Group; single Rattle The Cage (feat. John 5) is No. 1 at US Active Rock radio. North America (Feb–Apr) → UK & Europe (May–Jul) → Australia (Oct), following the record-setting Get Rollin' world tour.
