SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2026
Clear the schedule. Forty-six college football games hit ESPN's Saturday scoreboard, eleven of them involving ranked teams, and October baseball answers with the biggest single game of the day: a winner-take-all ALDS Game 5 in Cleveland. Three things own the day — No. 7 Indiana opening the morning in Lincoln, Texas and Oklahoma colliding in Dallas at 12:30 p.m. PT, and Georgia walking into Tuscaloosa at 4:30. Here's the full Saturday, start to finish.
The morning: No. 7 Indiana starts it in Lincoln
First kickoff worth your coffee is No. 7 Indiana at Nebraska, 9:00 a.m. PT. A top-ten team on the road in a morning window is the day's early gut-check — the Hoosiers' playoff résumé gets measured before most of the country is awake. The same 9:00 hour stacks ranked intrigue: Texas A&M visits No. 14 Missouri, UCF heads to No. 18 Oklahoma State, and North Carolina visits No. 25 Pitt. Then at 9:45 on SEC Network, South Carolina visits No. 16 Florida — another ranked home team that can't afford a sleepy start. The college hub is tracking every ranked kickoff as they land.
The afternoon: Texas–Oklahoma owns Dallas
At 12:30 p.m. PT, the Red River game takes over the Cotton Bowl on ABC: Texas vs. Oklahoma. Neutral-site hatred, split stadium, everything about October college football that the rest of the sport tries to imitate. Opposite it on CBS, the day's only ranked-vs.-ranked afternoon kick: No. 21 UCLA at No. 13 Oregon — a Big Ten collision with real stakes at the top of the bracket conversation. Over on ESPN, Ole Miss visits Vanderbilt, and at 1:15 on BTN, Maryland walks into Ohio State's building. If you've got opinions on how any of this plays out, our sportsbook has the lines.
The night: Georgia walks into Tuscaloosa
Primetime belongs to the SEC. Georgia at Alabama, 4:30 p.m. PT on ABC — the two programs that have defined the sport's last fifteen years, in Tuscaloosa, under the lights. This is the kind of Saturday night that either launches a season or ruins one. Your second screen is just as loud: No. 19 USC at Penn State kicks around the same 4:30 hour on NBC, and No. 10 LSU visits Kentucky at 4:00 on ESPN. The late shift brings Kansas at No. 12 Utah (5:00 p.m., ESPNEWS) and No. 23 Boise State at Fresno State (7:30 p.m., CW) to close the ranked ledger. And don't miss the local angle: undefeated North Dakota State visits UNLV for homecoming at Allegiant Stadium around 4:00 p.m. on the CW — our full preview has the matchup.
October baseball: winner-take-all in Cleveland
College football doesn't get the day to itself. The White Sox visit the Guardians for ALDS Game 5 — first pitch 8:08 p.m. ET / 5:08 p.m. PT at Progressive Field, on TBS. The series is tied 2-2, and the road team has won all four games, so Cleveland should be nervous about home-field advantage. Gavin Williams starts for the Guardians against Sean Burke, and the winner advances to the ALCS to face the Rays. One game, one night, one season on the line — it's the single highest-leverage game of the day, any sport. Our full Game 5 preview has the pitching matchup and the pattern the home team can't escape. The MLB hub has the series page and every first pitch.
