LAS VEGAS
Sting is coming back to the room he already owns. The 17-time Grammy winner will return to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in 2027 with a new residency, Sting 3.0, opening Thursday, March 4 — an 11-show engagement announced Tuesday by The Cherrytree Music Company, Live Nation and Caesars Entertainment.
The run splits into two stands. Spring first: March 4, 6, 7, 10 and 12. Then a fall return: October 14, 16, 17, 20, 22 and 23. Every performance starts at 8 p.m. The Music Universe carried the announcement Tuesday morning, and antiMusic published the complete run of dates.
This is not the big-band version of Sting. Sting 3.0 pares the catalog down to a power trio: Sting on bass and vocals, his longtime guitarist Dominic Miller beside him, and drummer Chris Maas — whose résumé runs through Mumford & Sons and Maggie Rogers — on the kit. The format comes straight off the Sting 3.0 World Tour and the live album it produced, Sting 3.0 Live: the Police classics and the solo hits rebuilt for three players, with nowhere for anybody to hide.
It is also a homecoming. Sting’s last residency in this room, My Songs, played 22 sold-out performances between 2021 and 2023, and the Colosseum has a way of turning returning headliners into institutions. A trio show in a room this size is the closest most fans will ever get to hearing these songs the way a band plays them in a club — just with Caesars Palace sightlines.
Tickets roll out in stages. Sting.com fan-club members get the first presale window, opening tomorrow — Wednesday, October 14 at 10 a.m. PT — and running through Friday, October 16 at 10 p.m. PT. Caesars Rewards members and Live Nation customers follow with a presale on Thursday, October 15 at 10 a.m. PT, also through Friday night. What’s left goes to the public on Saturday, October 17 at 10 a.m. PT, online through Ticketmaster or in person at the Colosseum box office. A limited number of VIP meet-and-greet packages are available for each show.
For the Colosseum, the booking keeps a hot streak going on a 2027 calendar already reshuffling around legacy names — Lionel Richie just moved his fall dates at Wynn, and the Strip’s heritage acts are treating next year like a land grab. Sting lands differently, though: a Rock & Roll Hall of Famer who still tours like he has something to prove. Eleven nights, three musicians, one of the great songbooks in pop. The line forms Saturday at 10 a.m.
The trio is not a gimmick — it is the concept this chapter of Sting’s career is built on. The Sting 3.0 World Tour has been running the format around the world, and it spun off a live album, Sting 3.0 Live, drawn from the road. As The Music Universe noted in its report, the album’s ten-song digital edition includes the first-ever live release of Be Still My Beating Heart, plus a live Fragile — the 1987 song a children’s choir covered this year in the Netflix miniseries Adolescence. And Miller is no hired hand: he has been Sting’s guitarist and onstage right hand for decades, which is what makes the 3.0 arrangements work — familiar songs pulled apart and rebuilt for three musicians who know exactly where each other is going.
Expect the set to roam the whole songbook. The announcement promises his most beloved hits reworked for the trio, and the obvious candidates are the Police staples and solo standards that have anchored his shows for years — Roxanne, Message in a Bottle, Every Breath You Take, Fields of Gold, Englishman in New York. In an arena, those songs are spectacles. In the Colosseum, with three players on stage and the furthest seat still close, they turn into conversations.
Buying strategy, because this will sell: the fan-club window opens a full day ahead of the Caesars Rewards and Live Nation presale and three days ahead of the public. The two Saturday nights — March 6 in the spring stand and October 23 to close the fall stand — project as the hottest tickets of the eleven, with the Friday shows (March 12, October 16 and 22) right behind them. The announcement also lists in-person sales at the Colosseum box office alongside Ticketmaster online — still the most reliable way to choose your exact seats in that room.
