Weezer isn't done gathering. The band announced Monday that The Gathering Tour will expand into a full worldwide trek in 2027, adding dates across Europe, Latin America, Asia and Australia to the 32-date North American arena run that kicked off in September. Alongside the announcement came new music: "C.E.O.," the latest single from the band's upcoming self-titled record — the Gold Album — due later this month.
01 The Gold Album Era
"C.E.O." follows lead single "We Might As Well Be Strangers" featuring Wednesday, and continues the rollout of Weezer's first full-length studio album since the Van Weezer / OK Human / SZNZ stretch. Produced by Klas Åhlund and Kenneth Blume, the record extends the band's long-running series of color-themed self-titled albums — and arrives on the heels of the sold-out Return to the Blue Planet anniversary tour, which celebrated the Blue Album and reminded everyone how deep this catalog runs.
02 A Proper World Tour
The North American leg — promoted by Live Nation with support from The Shins and Silversun Pickups, plus fan-focused events around the launch — was already one of the fall's bigger rock tours. Taking it global in 2027, across four continents, marks the band's return to a full-scale world trek after years of anniversary-focused runs. For a band three decades deep, the move says the new record isn't a victory lap — it's a campaign.
Weezer going full world-tour behind a new color album feels like the band operating at its most Weezer — earnest, ambitious, and completely unbothered by trends. "C.E.O." suggests the Gold Album has teeth. See them now; the rooms only get bigger from here.
