Def Leppard and Goo Goo Dolls announce 45-date 2027 tour with The Struts

The 45-date North American arena run runs March 2 to July 2, 2027, with $1 from every ticket to City of Hope — and it follows Def Leppard's third sold-out residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

Def Leppard are taking one of the biggest rock bills of 2027 on the road, and they are attaching it to a cause that will travel with every ticket. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees will tour North America in 2027 with Goo Goo Dolls as co-billed guests and The Struts as special guests, on a 45-date arena run that starts March 2, 2027 and continues through July 2, 2027. For every ticket sold, $1 will be donated to City of Hope, described in the tour announcement as one of the largest and most advanced cancer research and treatment organizations in the United States, to help advance groundbreaking research and innovative treatments for people facing cancer.

Tickets went on sale October 16. The general on-sale followed artist fan-club, Citi and Verizon presales that began October 12. Even before a note is played, the structure of the announcement tells its own story: a legacy arena band with more than four decades of hits, a 1990s hitmaker with a fresh wave of momentum, a glam-leaning opener built for big rooms, and a per-ticket donation that turns a 45-date routing into a sustained fundraiser rather than a one-night benefit.

From a sold-out Vegas residency to a 45-date arena run

The Vegas angle is not a footnote to this tour — it is the launchpad. Earlier in 2026, Def Leppard completed their third sold-out residency in Las Vegas at Caesars Palace. Residencies ask a different question than tours do. A tour tests whether a band can fill a room once in each city. A residency, returning to the same room night after night in a city built on choice, tests whether people keep choosing you. A third sold-out run at Caesars Palace answers that plainly, and it helps explain why the band can credibly announce 45 arena dates across the United States and Canada for the following spring and summer.

For Las Vegas readers, that matters in a practical way too. A band that has just proven itself again on the Strip is not winding down into occasional festival slots. Def Leppard spent the remainder of 2026, according to the announcement, performing sold-out shows across the United Kingdom, Europe, South America and Mexico. This summer, the band's Greatest Hits compilation entered four U.K. Top Charts, two of which debuted in the Top 10. Add a catalog that has sold more than 110 million albums worldwide, and the 2027 routing reads less like a nostalgia lap and more like a working band extending a hot streak — one that, notably, ran straight through Las Vegas.

The routing itself underlines the scale. The tour opens March 2 at the PPL Center in Allentown, Pennsylvania, then moves through Montreal's Bell Centre on March 5, Detroit's Little Caesars Arena on March 7, Toronto's Scotiabank Arena on March 9 and Quebec City's Centre Videotron on March 11, before hitting Newark's Prudential Center on March 13, Boston's TD Garden on March 17, Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on March 19, Washington's Capital One Arena on March 21, Pittsburgh and Chicago's United Center on March 25. The spring leg continues through Minneapolis, Denver, Salt Lake City, Austin, Fort Worth, Kansas City and Glendale, then reaches the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on May 1, San Francisco, Sacramento, Seattle, Spokane, Vancouver and Edmonton in May. The final stretch includes San Antonio, Houston, Oklahoma City, Milwaukee, St. Louis, Louisville, Savannah, Tampa, Atlanta, Columbus, Cleveland, New York's Madison Square Garden on June 23, Uncasville, Philadelphia, Charlotte, and a closing night July 2 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

Goo Goo Dolls bring their own headline weight

Goo Goo Dolls are not a token support act on this bill. The four-time Grammy-nominated band arrives following an extensive run of summer tour dates that included performances at the iHeartRadio Festival and Sea.Hear.Now Festival. Their catalog is anchored by "Iris," which has earned Diamond certification for sales of 10 million, and which the tour announcement notes has garnered more than 6 billion global streams, including more than 1 billion in 2025 alone. Beyond that single, the band has sold more than 15 million records worldwide, collected nearly a dozen platinum and gold singles, achieved 15 No. 1 and Top 10 hits, and holds the all-time radio record for most Top 10 singles.

That profile makes the pairing make sense. Def Leppard bring the hard-rock arena choruses — the Sheffield band's hits have filled stadiums and arenas for decades — while Goo Goo Dolls bring a melodic, radio-dominant songbook that reaches an overlapping but not identical audience. Put together on one ticket, the bill offers two distinct headline catalogs in a single night, which is exactly the kind of value proposition that sustains a 45-date run through secondary as well as major markets, from Mobile and Wichita to New York and Los Angeles.

Opening the shows, The Struts add the third generation of the bill. The British group are known, in the announcement's words and in their live reputation, for high-energy performances and glam-rock swagger — a natural fit for warming up arena crowds for two bands whose own shows lean on big choruses and bigger singalongs. As special guests across the run, they give the evening a clear arc, from opener to co-billed hitmakers to a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame headliner.

What the $1 per ticket means for City of Hope

The charitable element deserves to be read as part of the tour's design, not as fine print. One dollar from every ticket sold across all 45 dates will be donated to City of Hope, benefiting cancer research and treatment. The announcement describes the organization as helping to advance groundbreaking research and innovative treatments for people facing cancer, and as one of the largest and most advanced cancer research and treatment organizations in the United States.

On a run of this size, a per-ticket pledge compounds. Forty-five arena dates, in rooms that include Madison Square Garden, the Hollywood Bowl, the United Center and the Bell Centre, represent a very large number of individual $1 contributions gathered without asking fans to do anything beyond buying the ticket they already wanted. It also gives the tour a through-line that connects cities that otherwise share only a routing sheet: a fan in Allentown on opening night and a fan in Indianapolis on closing night are contributing to the same organization in the same way.

Def Leppard are represented on the tour by Independent Artist Group, while Goo Goo Dolls are represented by WME, according to Pollstar's reporting of the announcement. Those booking details underline that this is a fully realized arena production, not a tentative package — the kind of operation that can carry a charitable pledge at scale and deliver it date after date.

How to get tickets, and what to watch next

Tickets for the 2027 tour went on sale October 16 at 10 a.m. local time, following the October 12 presales. Fans considering a date should start with the venue and the official ticketing route for their city, since the routing spans the PPL Center to the Hollywood Bowl and on-sale and availability will vary sharply by market. The stops most likely to move fastest, based on the routing alone, are the marquee rooms — Madison Square Garden on June 23, the Hollywood Bowl on May 1, Chicago's United Center on March 25 and Toronto's Scotiabank Arena on March 9 — alongside the band's strongest regional draws.

For Vegas, the open question is a homecoming. The announced routing does not list a Las Vegas date, which is notable for a band coming directly off a third sold-out Caesars Palace residency. Whether that means the residency relationship continues separately, or a date is added later, is not in the announcement, and fans should treat any claim otherwise as unconfirmed until the band or a venue says so. What is confirmed is the shape of the year ahead: a band that sold out the Strip, sold out across the U.K., Europe, South America and Mexico, and now carries that momentum — and a dollar a ticket for City of Hope — into 45 North American arenas from March through July 2027.
