KATSEYE's Michigan debut will have to wait, and Detroit found out about as late as a crowd can find out anything.
The group postponed Tuesday night's show at Little Caesars Arena after member Megan Skiendiel fell ill, announcing the decision on Instagram Stories just hours before showtime — and, according to Billboard's reporting from inside the building, putting the message on the arena's big screens roughly 40 minutes before the scheduled start. Doors had already opened. Fans were already seated.
"Unfortunately, Megan is unwell and unable to perform tonight, and we want to make sure she has the time she needs to rest and recover," the group wrote. "We know so many of you have travelled, made plans and been looking forward to tonight. We are incredibly disappointed that we won't get to see you, and we're truly sorry for the inconvenience."
The illness has not been specified, and no new Detroit date has been announced. The venue told fans to hold on to their tickets: Tuesday night's tickets will be valid for the rescheduled date, and an email with further information is on the way. Billboard reported the group went ahead with its VIP soundcheck earlier in the day with Megan missing and resting up in hopes of making the show — a sign of how late the call really was.
A group already touring shorthanded
What turned one member's sick night into a full postponement is the arithmetic KATSEYE has been touring with all fall. The group has six members; two of them — Manon Bannerman and Sophia Laforteza — are on hiatus and are not taking part in the North American dates at all. Rolling Stone reported Bannerman stepped back for mental-health reasons and Laforteza later did the same, with Laforteza set to rejoin the group in January and no date announced for Bannerman's return.
So the Wildworld Tour's North American leg, which kicked off Oct. 13 and runs through Nov. 28, has been playing as a four-member show. Lose Megan an hour before showtime and there is no version of the night left to salvage — a fact Detroit learned from the big screens.
This is also the second time this year a Megan injury or illness has cost fans a date: earlier in 2026 the group dropped out of Olivia Rodrigo's Daisy Chain Fields Festival after Skiendiel sprained an ankle, per Rolling Stone.
What happens next
The tour moves on to the United Center in Chicago on Thursday, Nov. 5, and whether Megan is back for it is the open question of the week — neither the group nor the venues have said anything about Chicago's status, and this story does not guess. The Wildworld run has sold out across Europe and the United Kingdom before this North American leg, which is slated to conclude Nov. 28.
For Detroit, the wait is for a date. EYEKONS who traveled in — the group's statement nodded directly to fans who had come from out of state — hold tickets that stay valid, an email that is promised shortly, and a debut that is postponed, not cancelled. Previously will update this story when the new date lands.
