LAS VEGAS
The storm shutters are officially open. Luke Combs' Category 10 Las Vegas — three stories, 34,000 square feet and seven bars of country music planted right on the Las Vegas Strip — officially opened today, Thursday, October 15, at Flamingo Las Vegas, with the doors swinging at 11 a.m. and a four-day grand opening celebration running through Sunday. Pollstar marked the opening with a full tour of the venue on Thursday morning, and the picture that emerges is of a honky-tonk built like a headliner: part concert hall, part bourbon library, part rooftop party, all of it wrapped around the songs and the hometown flavors of the biggest male star in country music.
Start with the bones, because the scale is the headline. Category 10 Las Vegas spans 34,000 square feet across three floors at the Flamingo, 3555 Las Vegas Boulevard South, in the space formerly occupied by Margaritaville. It holds 800 seats, with a projected capacity around 2,000, and packs in seven interior bars, two stages, a retail shop and a 3,000-square-foot rooftop, according to Pollstar's opening-day report and Caesars Entertainment's opening announcement. This is the brand's second location: the original Category 10 opened November 2, 2024, in Nashville, and Pollstar reported a third is planned for Universal Orlando's CityWalk in early 2028. The venue is owned and operated by Opry Entertainment Group, a subsidiary of Ryman Hospitality Properties, and takes its name from Combs' "Hurricane," his Diamond-certified No. 1 debut hit — the song that blew the doors off his career now has a building named after its weather.

Each floor has its own personality, and the ground floor is the engine room. Hurricane Hall pairs the main stage with three bars, a central dining area and a dance floor where free line-dancing lessons are part of the daily program. General Manager Ryan Klaasen told Pollstar the room is wired with top-line video, acoustics and lighting so that any artist — a local regular or Combs himself — can walk in with a guitar, plug in and play a concert-quality show. Upstairs, The Still is the quiet flex: an intimate, elevated lounge with an extensive bourbon selection hand-picked by Combs, a view down to the main stage and an outdoor patio. The name comes from life on tour, Klaasen explained — Combs hangs a sign reading "The Still" over his dressing room on the road, and the venue set out to bottle that backstage calm. On the first floor, the Beautiful Crazy Women's Lounge, set by the women's restroom, adds a champagne bar, soft seating, makeup counters and Hollywood-style vanity mirrors. And up top, The Eye Rooftop runs a DJ booth, dance floor and bar with Strip views that Klaasen described as the venue's 50-yard line at night. A walk-up Hurricane Bar serves the LINQ Promenade and boulevard foot traffic with frozen and signature drinks to go.
The details reward fans who know the catalog. A hat wall mixes caps from Combs' personal collection with hats sent in by fans from around the world. The menu is scratch-made and Appalachian at heart, a nod to Combs' North Carolina upbringing: Carolina Smoked Ribs, Deep Sea Señorita Shrimp Skewers, a Smoky Mountain Chicken Sandwich and a Carolina Bar-B-Que Chicken Flatbread, Pollstar reported, with specialty cocktails served in signature souvenir cups and the Hurricane and the Beautiful Crazy Sangria expected to lead the drink sales. Klaasen put the ambition plainly to Pollstar: "We're going to do some big things here." He also stressed the room's versatility — in a city whose calendar swings from conventions to F1 to football weekends, the venue is built to shape-shift, with programming planned around major events, including a party on October 16 for Buffalo Bills fans in town for the weekend matchup against the Raiders at Allegiant Stadium, and F1 plans that include a driver meet-and-greet and on-stage Q&A.

Opening weekend is staged like a festival in miniature. Caesars' announcement, carried by The Music Universe and country outlets, laid out the four-day run from Thursday, October 15, through Sunday, October 18: on day one, Dingo raffles five pairs of boots among the first 50 guests through the door; across the weekend there are free line-dancing lessons and performances by TJ Favella, Desert Heat and DJ Eric Rhodes. The venue also launched exclusive Las Vegas merchandise, with a free Category 10 Las Vegas poster for fans spending $60 during opening weekend, and a Las Vegas Getaway Sweepstakes running through October 31 with airfare, a two-night Flamingo stay and a VIP dinner for two in the prize package. Combs himself toured the space back in March, hours before playing to a state-record crowd of 70,921 at Allegiant Stadium, and said then that he had no worries about how the Vegas room would turn out — a prophecy the crowds this weekend will start grading.
Zoom out and the opening says something bigger about where the Strip is heading. The celebrity-venue arms race is real — Category 10 lands just down the boulevard from Blake Shelton's Ole Red, which opened in 2024 — but Combs' entry is less a bar with a famous name than a fan headquarters: stages tuned for surprise drop-ins, a bourbon room built from his own habits, memorabilia sent in by the faithful, and programming that bends around whatever the city is hosting that week. With the National Finals Rodeo rolling into town in December and F1 next month, the timing could hardly be better. Las Vegas already had a huge Thursday on its hands — Metallica's Sphere residency continues tonight, and you can find our story on the band's new official Sphere video in today's entertainment coverage — and now it has a country storm parked permanently on the boulevard, too.
Category 10 Las Vegas is open now at Flamingo Las Vegas, with the grand opening celebration running through Sunday, October 18. Whether you go for the line dancing, the bourbon, the rooftop or the outside chance that the man himself walks in with a guitar, the Hurricane has officially made landfall on the Strip.
