Remi Wolf’s ‘Mud’ Is Out and Her 2027 Tour Just Leveled Up to Radio City and Red Rocks

Eleven tracks, one Kimmel performance, and a 2027 itinerary that runs Radio City Music Hall, Massey Hall and Red Rocks — pop’s most joyful chaos agent is officially playing the big rooms.

The Short Version

There is nobody in pop quite like Remi Wolf — the songwriter who makes controlled chaos sound like the most fun you could possibly have — and today she’s officially back. Her third studio album, ‘Mud,’ is out now via Island Records: 11 tracks led by the singles “Twiggy,” “Bottle” and “I Won’t Cry,” the last of which she performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night, the eve of the album’s arrival. It’s being billed as a warmer, more spacious version of her adventurous pop, and if that sounds like a contradiction, that’s kind of her whole thing. But the album is only half the news. The Mud Tour — her biggest live run yet — stretches from December Australia dates all the way through a 2027 North American leg that lands at Radio City Music Hall, Massey Hall and Red Rocks Amphitheatre. That’s the kind of room list that says everything about where her career just went.

02 The Album: ‘Mud,’ Track by Track Energy

Three albums in, Remi Wolf has built a catalog on songs that sound like they were recorded mid-laugh — all neon hooks, left-turn arrangements and lyrics that read like group-chat poetry. ‘Mud’ keeps the mischief but opens up the sound. Eleven tracks, and the singles map the territory: “Twiggy,” “Bottle” and “I Won’t Cry” each do something different, and together they suggest an artist stretching rather than repeating herself. It’s the third studio album from a singer who arrived as an alt-pop wildcard and is now operating like a genuine pop architect — the structures are bigger, the palette is wider, and the fun is intact.

The Kimmel performance was the perfect launchpad. Playing “I Won’t Cry” on late night the evening before release is the classic move — album in stores in the morning, proof of life on television the night before — and it doubled as the first real look at how this new material translates live. Remi Wolf has never been a stand-still singer; the question with every new era is how the studio experiments hold up with a band behind her and a crowd in front. Last night’s answer: just fine.

03 How It Got Made: Big Bear, Live Takes, and Remi on Drums

The story behind ‘Mud’ is as good as the rollout. The sessions started in Nashville, but the creative center was a retreat in Big Bear where Wolf set up with longtime collaborator Jared Solomon alongside Jack DeMeo, Jamie McLaughlin and Gigi Grombacher — a loose “family band” that cooked together, passed microphones around the kitchen, and prioritized instinct and spontaneity over studio perfection. From there the record traveled to Electric Lady Studios in New York and closed out with final sessions in Joshua Tree. That’s a lot of zip codes for one record, but the thread is consistent: this was made by people in the same room, at the same time.

That’s the detail worth sitting with. The live instrumentation on ‘Mud’ was recorded together — band in the room, no assembly-line overdubs — and Wolf herself played drums on the record. You can feel what that choice buys: looseness, air, the tiny human imperfections that make a chorus land. The described result is a “warmer and more spacious” take on her adventurous pop, which scans exactly right for a process built on shared meals and passed-around microphones. For an artist whose whole identity is joyful chaos, making the record like a family jam session wasn’t a retreat from her sound — it was the most honest version of it.

04 The Tour: Radio City, Massey Hall, Red Rocks — All in One Announcement

Let’s talk about that routing, because it’s the loudest statement in this whole package. The North American leg of the Mud Tour opens February 23, 2027 at The Anthem in Washington, DC, then hits Philadelphia’s The Met (Feb 26) before the big one: Radio City Music Hall in New York on Feb 27. Boston’s MGM Music Hall at Fenway follows on Mar 2, then Toronto’s Massey Hall on Mar 5 — one of those rooms where you know you’ve arrived — Detroit’s Masonic Temple Theatre (Mar 7), Chicago’s Salt Shed (Mar 9), Minneapolis’s Armory (Mar 12), Milwaukee’s Landmark Credit Union Live (Mar 13), St. Louis’s The Factory at The District (Mar 16), Cincinnati’s Andrew J Brady Music Center (Mar 17), Nashville’s The Truth (Mar 19) and Atlanta’s Coca-Cola Roxy (Mar 20). After a spring break, the run resumes May 6 in Austin at Moody Amphitheater, then Houston’s 713 Music Hall (May 7), Irving’s Toyota Music Factory (May 8), Tulsa’s Cain’s Ballroom (May 10), Kansas City’s Midland Theatre (May 11), Des Moines’s Val Air Ballroom (May 12), Morrison’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre (May 16), Bonner’s KettleHouse Amphitheater (May 19), Vancouver’s PNE Forum (May 21) and a finale May 22 at Seattle’s WaMu Theater. Red Rocks. Massey Hall. Radio City. Read that room list again — that’s the announcement.

The support bill is smart, too. Emma Ogier opens the February and March dates, Annabelle Dinda takes the May leg — two openers who fit the bill rather than pad it. And before North America, there’s a full December in Australia: the Spilt Milk Festival (Dec 12 Canberra, Dec 13 Gold Coast, Dec 19 Geelong, Dec 20 Perth) plus headline shows at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre (Dec 15) and Melbourne’s Forum Melbourne (Dec 17), all supported by Leyla Ebrahimi. That’s a proper international run-up — festival crowds in December, theaters and amphitheatres through spring 2027.

05 First: Two Intimate Shows, Then the Ticket Clock

She’s not waiting for February to play this music. Before the tour properly launches, Wolf celebrates the album with two intimate October shows: tomorrow night, Oct 10, at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, and Oct 13 at Webster Hall in New York. Small rooms, new songs, no warm-up required — exactly the kind of victory-lap-meets-workshop nights where her live energy does its best work.

As for the 2027 dates: general sale is Friday, October 16 at 10 a.m. local time, with presale windows earlier that week — a Verizon Shine presale running Monday Oct 12 at 10 a.m. through Thursday Oct 15 at 10 p.m. local, and an artist presale Tuesday Oct 13 through Thursday Oct 15. Set your alarms accordingly; a routing like this one doesn’t stay under the radar for long. Today’s New Music Friday roundup has ‘Mud’ in full context alongside the rest of this week’s releases, and the music desk will keep tracking the tour as dates lock in.
