LAS VEGAS
Sunday television is doing what it does best tonight: making you choose. Pirates on MGM+, murder mysteries on PBS and HBO, the Grande Dame’s return on Bravo, and playoff baseball against Sunday Night Football. There is simply no way to watch it all live, and that’s what DVRs and streaming are for. Here’s the full map of tonight’s lineup, all times Eastern.
Our top pick: Treasure Island (10 PM ET, MGM+)
The six-part Treasure Island is the night’s biggest premiere, and the most genuinely exciting one. David Oyelowo stars as Long John Silver — the first Black actor to play literature’s most iconic pirate on screen, per Entertainment Weekly — with Hayley Atwell as Bess Hawkins and Tom Sweet as her son Jim, whose discovery of a treasure map drags the family into a brutal race for Captain Flint’s fortune. Jack Huston (as Aaron Graham) and Tomer Capone (as Billy Bones) round out the main cast.
The series was created by Robert Murphy (Vera, Shetland) and produced by Playground Entertainment, with Jeremy Lovering, William McGregor and Paul Walker directing. New episodes roll out weekly through November 15, and the series lands on Paramount+ in the UK and Ireland tomorrow. If you only watch one premiere tonight, make it this one — a genuinely fresh take on a story that has been adapted roughly a hundred times.

The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 11 (8 PM ET, Bravo)
Potomac is back, and it’s bringing reinforcements. Season 11 premieres at 8 PM ET on Bravo (streaming next morning on Peacock), with Gizelle Bryant, Karen Huger, Ashley Darby, Wendy Osefo, Stacey Rusch and Tia Glover returning as full-time housewives, newcomer Courtney Ajinça joining the group, and Robyn Dixon and Monique Samuels back as friends.
The storyline engine is already revved: Koimoi wrote, citing Bravo’s official season synopsis, that it is “a season of growth, change, and unexpected turns,” with familiar faces returning and shifting loyalties testing old friendships. Karen Huger is back full-time after sitting out the previous season, and the season kicks off with an episode called Read Between the Lies — a title that tells you everything about what Potomac does best. Episodes 2 through 4 are already dated (October 18, 25 and November 1), so Bravo clearly has a full season of chaos planned.
Tracker: Switchback (9 PM ET, CBS)
CBS keeps its Sunday drama engine running with Marshals at 8 PM (new episode End of Watch, with the team pursuing a former police officer on a revenge campaign) and Tracker at 9 PM. Tonight’s Tracker, titled Switchback, sends Justin Hartley’s Colter Shaw after a mother and daughter who vanished along the Pacific Divide Trail — a case that turns when Colter discovers the pair may have been stalked.
One important caveat from tonight’s schedule: CBS programming may be delayed by football. If the late-afternoon NFL window runs long, set your DVR to record way past the scheduled end time. This happens every year and it gets someone every year. Don’t let it be you.
Our newsroom has been tracking CBS’s Sunday lineup all season.
The Pet Cemetery Murders: A Ghost Story (9 PM ET, HBO/HBO Max)
October needs its true crime, and HBO is delivering it. The Pet Cemetery Murders: A Ghost Story premieres tonight at 9 PM on HBO and HBO Max — a three-part docuseries in which an investigation into a 1985 murder opens into a haunting exploration of a bayou community’s history of violence. Timed for Halloween season, it leans on atmosphere rather than sensationalism — exactly the kind of slow-burn true crime that fits October.

Sports: Dodgers vs. Brewers, NLCS Game 1 (8 PM ET, FOX)
Baseball’s final four is set, and the National League Championship Series opens tonight: Dodgers vs. Brewers, Game 1 at 8 PM ET on FOX. Los Angeles, led by Shohei Ohtani, faces Milwaukee with the Brewers hosting the first two games. Meanwhile the Guardians and Rays open the ALCS tomorrow night on TBS. And if you somehow still have football energy, our full NFL Sunday guide covers the Eagles-Jaguars London opener and the rest of today’s slate.
Also tonight
60 Minutes airs a new episode at 7 PM on CBS. PBS is saying goodbye to three series: The Marlow Murder Club wraps its third season at 8 PM, Marble Hall Murders concludes its limited series at 9 PM, and Trespasses — starring Lola Petticrew, Tom Cullen and Gillian Anderson — ends at 10 PM. PBS airtimes may vary by local station, so check your guide.
On the streaming side, Saturday Night Live UK drops its new episode on Peacock — Danny Dyer hosts, with Sasha Keable as the musical guest, the day after the show’s UK broadcast on Sky. Lifetime premieres the original movie Her Only Way Out at 8 PM. And Sunday Night Football caps the night at 8:20 PM on NBC and Peacock: Ravens at Falcons.
One more note for the completionists: American Hostage (MGM+, 9 PM), Halloween Wars (Food Network, 9 PM), Youth (HBO/HBO Max, 10 PM) and Sister Wives (TLC, 10:01 PM) all have new episodes tonight too. Plenty competing for attention — start with the pirates.
