Valencia 0, Real Madrid 3 at Mestalla — Valverde opened it, Güler scored one and made the third for Mbappé, and Madrid went level on points with Barcelona at the top of La Liga.
Real Madrid beat Valencia 3–0 at Estadio de Mestalla in La Liga Matchday 12 on Saturday, November 7, 2026 — two goals before half-time, a third to close it out, and the home captain sent off before the end.
Valencia had the first moments. On 18 minutes Aaron Mayol won the ball and volleyed from distance, forcing Thibaut Courtois into a fine fingertip save, and the hosts briefly thought they had scored before a finish was ruled out for offside. Madrid's answer was their first real effort on goal. Kylian Mbappé's free-kick hit the wall, the rebound dropped to Federico Valverde at the edge of the box, and he drilled a fierce low half-volley into the bottom corner in the 28th minute — his first league goal of the season, per Flashscore.
Eight minutes later it was two. Mbappé found Jude Bellingham on the left, Bellingham's cutback took a deflection, and Arda Güler converted from close range at 36'. Güler nearly had a quick second, denied by Stole Dimitrievski, who kept Valencia in it again after the break — smothering Güler one-on-one, getting a strong hand to a firm Mbappé strike, and stopping Bellingham with an outstretched leg.
The third came from Courtois's end of the pitch. His long clearance was chased down by Güler, whose pass infield released Mbappé at 75'; the Frenchman rounded the advancing Dimitrievski and rolled the ball into the empty net — his 13th league goal of the campaign and a goal in a seventh straight match in all competitions. Four minutes later Valencia captain José Gayà was shown a straight red card for a fierce challenge on Mbappé, and Madrid closed out the final minutes with the extra man.
The win is Madrid's eighth in a row in all competitions and fifth straight in La Liga. It moves them to 30 points, level with leaders Barcelona — behind on goal difference having played one game more, per Reuters. Valencia remain second-bottom with nine points. Flashscore named Arda Güler its man of the match: a goal, an assist, and the hand in everything Madrid did going forward. Madrid did it without Vinícius Júnior, who served the final game of his league suspension.
The Night Belonged to Güler
Previously Staff’s read: This was Güler's game in a way the scoresheet only half tells: his third league goal of the campaign, per Soccer Laduma, on a night when Madrid's attack ran through him with Vinícius Júnior suspended — and Mbappé's third was his 18th goal in all competitions. Valencia got a fingertip save and an offside flag to show for their best spell, and a goalkeeper's second half to thank for keeping 3–0 from becoming worse.
