The through-line of CoD multiplayer is the class system born in 2007: primary, secondary, perks, streaks. Around that spine, each generation rebuilt the movement. The boots-on-the-ground years prized map control and gun skill; the advanced-movement era (Advanced Warfare, Black Ops III, Infinite Warfare) added thrust jumps and wall-running and split the fanbase down the middle.
The 2019 reboot era slowed the game back down — tactical sprint, mounting, doors — and Gunsmith turned weapon building into a system of its own, with attachments changing handling in ways players could feel and measure.
Modern Warfare 4's launch arsenal is documented in full in the Armory: 33 weapons with official unlock data, from the level-4 Han 86 to the level-55 Cronen Squall. The profiles are the current chapter of the same story this chapter tells.
