The Zombies Evolution

Zombies began as a secret: finish World at War's campaign in 2008 and a single map, Nacht der Untoten, unlocked. Four players, boarded windows, a mystery box. Nobody at Treyarch shipped it as a headline feature; the community treated it like one anyway.
Across the Black Ops line it grew into the series' strangest canon — the Aether storyline's decades-spanning arcs, the Chaos storyline, and the Dark Aether saga that now carries the mode, with each map layering puzzles, wonder weapons and community-solved Easter eggs that can take the player base days to crack.
The map-to-game mapping matters and is easy to get wrong in summaries: this Vault ties every Zombies map to the game and era it actually belongs to, and keeps the three storylines separate rather than blending them into one timeline.
